Latest Update: Found a place for the ECU. I didn't really want to put the ECU in the cab as that would have required me to drill another hole in the firewall. So, this seemed to be the most logical of places with the amount of wire I had to work with. It's hidden and out of the way and once the intake tube is installed, no one will even see it. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7048/6...1f5c4a98_z.jpg Why labels on dash!? BECAUSE RACECAR. Found the label maker and went a little nuts with it hehe. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7151/6...c4bc2c06_z.jpg New intake and fuel rails came in the other day. I dunno, just doesn't look the same... feels naked or something. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7172/6...2b1f4630_z.jpg |
I finally got some time away from the wife for a bit to work on the car.
My buddy Nate from www.one-guys-garage.com (hire him, he's talented) came over and built me a rear seat delete panel that he was able to do in an afternoon and probably would have taken me 3 weeks! It matches the floor carpet perfectly and I'm pretty happy with the results. Beats taking that old stupid rear seat in and out all the time. I can finally get the drivers seat in and start finishing the interior once I figure out the transmission situation. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7188/6...4f38ae7a_b.jpg While Nate worked, I was able to get a lot of small projects done on the engine such as the hood hinges, some extra wiring for the fans, bolting up the front sheet metal...etc... all small junk. The new intake is starting to grow on me, I'm starting to like it. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7070/6...2287a569_b.jpg Here's Nate holding down the new aluminum hood. Seems to fit fairly well considering the front fenders aren't even close to be aligned properly. Pretty neat to finally see it almost to being driveable! http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7209/6...30f00b01_b.jpg |

[QUOTE=FETorino;395379]It will grow on you more when you mash the pedal. The hp and torque curve were better than the holley. Beat it everywhere but peak.
nice locking car,if you would like a new intake i can get you one for 750 dollar. |
Won't be long before the beast is hauling ass down a track somewhere.
It's turning out really nice Eric. Great looking car, and one hell of a parts list. All the best ingredients for serious fun! |

Lesson #3,203 for myself: When pouring new power steering fluid into the reservoir... make sure you've connected all the hoses... Kinda spilled half a quart of PS fluid all over the shop floor before I realized I forgot to hook up the return line. LOL Not a lot of work has been done on the car lately as I've been working on other projects, completely unrelated to the Camaro. My buddy Nate Shaw made me another part for my car, this intake tube. It has to be an odd shape because the over flow tank for the radiator protrudes out a bit. Nate's going to match the valve covers' finish, so it should be killer. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7048/6...899dddd4_b.jpg |
