Very nice Greg

This shop builds award winning cars that are meant to be driven... which is exactly how I like my cars. My big F up was not taking the '32 to be done over there.

Greg,

Your 1st post in this thread today should have just been a warning of the subject matter that was to follow.

It's like trying to eat a huge steak after a month(s) of bread and water. :D

Wow and wow.

Really? I didn't think it was much of a report... You're going to have to get out more!

Funny about the chrome. Until he said that at GNRS I always thought the opposite. You learn something new every time you listen.

If you confirm which Line holders those are post it up. I know a guy who will be spending more than a couple hours doing some brake lines soon.:lmao:

I feel the same way -- I'm always willing to learn and to listen. 40 years of doing this stuff and I'm still feeling my way! :D

Looks really sharp. Gotta love duece rails.

Those line holders are offered by billet specialties and Kugel Components. I used the BS ones on my FF car. Drill your hole, tap it, and thread those dudes in.

EXACTLY! The BS versions space the line off the chassis -- the ones that are used on the '33 hold the line tight to it.

NOT "deuce" rails.... this is a '33 --- and the rails are custom ordered by Roy to his spec -- and this one is also stretched 2" in the wheelbase.

I am glad you posted this build here. I like all kinds of builds and this one is going to be very cool and I don't even have to stray from a pro touring website to get my hot rod fix. I like the look of that front axle and the finned drums will be cool.

You're like me -- I've never seen a car I didn't love..... ! And it does have an LS3 ----

This is my 'backyard'. I'm 'out' in 10 steps from where I'm sitting. Not sure you could satisfactorily explain to me the value of going 'out' somewhere else. :D

OK, it may not seem like much of a report to you, but, we are getting an inside look/info throughout a Brizio build process that many gearheads won't ever get.

It's steak baby!

What's your current multi-quote record anyway?

:peepwall:

NOPANTS68 02-02-2013 12:24 PM

Yeah I get it! Nice back yard! Sadly Roy takes lousy pictures -- but they are doing a build thread of the car on his website. They told me that once the body goes on the rails and they flip it from the chassis side of the shop over to the body fab area - they'll have enough of a "story" to post it.

Relax -- stuff like that gets a lot more common when you get my age. Sometimes I even forget to introduce what's her name when I meet friends.

GregWeld 02-02-2013 05:11 PM

I just sent Roy an email to ask about his source for the 1 pc billet brake line clamps -- will post it as soon as I have an answer. I've bought them before - but I'm not in the shed so can't go scrounging for a package... and damned if I can remember. The Billet Specialties versions are 2 pc -- and I like the 1 pc versions like on my frame.

Great project Greg. More pics please

Roy says he has them done for the shop. That also must be where I bought them because I have some at home. I've been buying stuff from them for a long time - so they must have come from their retail store. He said they do carry them "up front".

Their website isn't set up for retail shopping so you'd have to call and ask Dave about them. They're just 3/16" "line clamps".
