Nothing like fresh tin a BBC to make your day.. nice work!

sds machining 02-22-2013 01:43 PM

I have a part that would look good on your march performance ultra drive set , we ended up making a new cross brace from the PS to the AC pump and not using the one in the picture with the 3 holes in it, its yours if you want it, can be easily painted to match your car (IMO the part they use reminds me of star trek)
http://i719.photobucket.com/albums/w...g/b74e5ba3.jpg

we remade one with the G90 logo
http://i719.photobucket.com/albums/w...92919080_n.jpg

Not to hijack your post, just thought i would offer it to a fellow BBC lover with a Camaro...

Rybar 02-22-2013 02:23 PM

Mario the car is looking awesome, great news you finally got the Trans.

Great gesture Scott.

I always liked that brace on yours.

DOOM 02-23-2013 08:07 AM

Man that's awesome Scott thanx!!!!! That part bugs me the most, it looks so generic. That setup came with the motor when I received it from Cris at JCG. I'm going to switch to your style setup I'm not a chrome fan . That piece you made is perfect! Just let me know what I need to send you.

GregWeld 02-23-2013 09:11 AM

Not to rag on anyone -- but that BBC needs some BLACK valve cover gaskets...

214Chevy 02-23-2013 09:15 AM

Mario, the trans tunnel and firewall came out good. Keep the pics coming. I like every, little detail.

syborg tt 02-25-2013 12:34 PM

Not to Hijack this post - but do you have the part number for your air cleaner. I need one and that looks like a 3" filter.

Not 100% sure what Scott has but looks like the setup on our Camaro.

K&N 66-3040: 14" X-Stream assembly with 3" filter & 1 1/4" drop base.
Note: Ours came with a chrome base that I will need to powdercoat black sometime to match the top..

LOL,,, already did that... we had to test and tune and knew we would be setting valves so we swapped them out before the recent shows..

PM me your mailing address and i will send it to you,, (On the house). we took all the components apart (including the alternator) and then painted eveything body color or black, at the time we purchased our system they were not available in black. i agree only "Spock" and fellow members of the Enterprise would use that top brace out of the box. dont get me wrong March's parts are really nice just not my flavor on that one part.

That's going to make a big difference. Very nice.

Ron in SoCal 04-05-2013 05:11 PM

Really is good thinking. I never noticed until this mod how much it cleans up that area. Nice work guys!

DOOM 04-06-2013 06:34 AM

I love the idea clean and simple. This boy is always thinking!!!

Jay Hilliard 04-06-2013 09:13 AM

Very nice Mario on the inner fenders. I can see where this may spawn off to others doing some type of inner fender work. It really cleans up that area.

Car is coming along great!
