K9 Friday?
These are all taken with the phone :underchair: This one through the sliding door glass. http://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-8...8KxcdS3-XL.jpg http://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-F...F4jpnVg-XL.jpg This is a phone enhancement called sketch of the above photo. http://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-X...-XfzD6Rr-L.png I've tried it with a couple other images and actually like the results. |
Squirrel got a nose shot in but obviously it wasn't effective. Rev got him about 1.2 miles from the house and packed his trophy all the way home.........one proud prancing dog.

Lance is the white one a Westie ? I have a 14 year old girl here at my house. |
She's some kind of Terrier mix for sure, not really sure. She's a rescue dog as well...we think she's about 7 years old now.

I have a Wilson and a Kimber --- and use Wilson and Kimber Mag Pro magazines in both and have never had failure to feed issues. |
Sieg, could you help me, a couple years ago Scott (XcYZ) posted a picture of his camaro in his garage with the lights off, but used single light showing just a highlight of the car and a dark back ground.
Any help with the picture and a procedure on how to do this wuold be great. Thanks! Mike |

Back when we used to produce catalogs for sales materials - our pro photographer called that "Painting with light". Why not ask Scott directly? |

As I recall he set up his camera on a tripod and used a light shielded with a shoebox or similar, set the camera on bulb (shutter open) and painted the car with the light. I've been wanting to experiment with light painting ever since I saw that image and have yet to dedicate the time. I've only done it once with a small penlight and the results were impressive for a first attempt. |
Another guy to contact about that technique here might be MaxHarvard(Eric) and you can see similar shots in his Blue Hour thread, one such image was used in the Camaro Performers spread on his '68... from memory I would say October 13 CP issue or so
|
Here is the pic. One of my all time favorites. I would love to understand how to do it also.

Thanks guys, your the greatest!
That is the picture I was thinking of. My son has picked up the hobby of photography and I remember seeing this but did not know how it was done. This helps get started. Greg, I did not know Scott was still on here, thanks Mike |

Spring in Napa Valley
So I have a buddy who is a limo driver here in Napa who gets to go to some of the most amazing places. He has a hidden talent of capturing some great photos while touring the valley. Here are a few I stole from his Facebook page worth sharing.

Sorry for the delay, I was in Florida all last week working on my sunburn. :D That shot of my car was my first attempt to mimic (the best I could) a large Chimera overhead light bank. Of course, I only have a 2 car garage, so I had to get creative. I used a 60 watt light bulb and a lot of patience to get that look. I've shot a lot of cars this way and have gotten a lot better at it, here's a race car that I shot a few weeks ago. I should do my car again now that I've had a lot more practice at it. |
