Any plans to come down to Pleasanton for the WCN's?

Man Lenie that is a drop dead gorgeous car. You knocked it out of the ball park. If you do decide to beat on it I would put some clear bra at least behind the rear wheels. I regret not doing that with mine.

Thanks, I think I am going to do that. Any idea how easy it is to do it yourself. Which film do I buy? Would it be better just to hire a professional?

I would use only the 3M clear bra. As far as installation, I would watch a few you tube videos and see if it is something that would be within your expertise.

The 3M works well. I have seen cars come in with it, but they are daily driven and not cared for like we do with these cars. I may put some on the lower parts of mine next year.
I also see people putting on painters tape when they go on drives :confused18: that seems to be more with the BMW guys lately.

I've used the 3M on our last four daily drivers and it's held up very well. I know Vegas69 used it on PayBack also. You had to be right up on it to see it. Once my car is painted it will have this applied.

geberhard 08-01-2014 09:11 AM

I am doing vinyl stripes on my brother in law's Mustang and honestly the material is not too hard to work with, but still takes time. The clear bra is not so easy to install, I would go with a place that does it regularly, as the clear material has a smaller shelf and UV life, and if not the best quality it will yellow out and peel fast even with limited sun exposure.

Good luck!

Gui
