Time to see how close or far off the door handle hole is.

Once again I ran the bolts in from the backside so I could get an idea as to how far off they are.

I am going to need to get a hold of D&R Classics as I can't seem to find the door handle escutcheons.

Oh my god this is the funniest thing I have ever heard.

Battery is charged and ready to start this car. (( 08-06-23 ))
 

I put the battery on the charger so I could start it up net weekend. It took about 20 hours to get to a full charge.

To make my life easier I raised the car and I was even able to set up a chair so I could sit and work on the door panel.

I am using the Eastwood Flexible Strip Caulk Bk 2lbs

I found this to be the best way to smooth out the caulk strips.

Added another strip to the top of the door.

I don’t speak from experience, but one of the guys at my station actually did that. It quite a sight to see. 🤣🤣🤣

I have an Optima Red Top. Hopefully I won’t need to invest in the charger to get mine fired up.

Went for Tacos and I decided to go back out in the garage.

I noticed my battery shutoff wasn't working correctly and I think I found the problem. This is supposed to be perfectly flat
and as you can see it is bent which most likely was from me bending negative battery wires terminal.

I was temporarily able to straighten it and problem is solved and a new one is on order.

You should get one of these chargers regardless, the new optimas are not as good as the old ones, and you should use these charges if you leave the car sit for any amount of time.

Drivers Side

Getting a bunch of little stuff done today was the goal.

I picked up some OER Kick Panels from D&R Classic the other day and today I am going to modify
them to fit. I can say these are a very nice piece and I highly recommend them.

Test fitting and they fit exactly how they are supposed to fit. Now I just need to make the modification needed so they work
around all of the wiring that I have added to this area.
