Classic Industries Door Panel (( 08-19-23 )) Part 2
 

I took a day off from the car and it was nice couple days off.

Back to the car and back to the reason why I posted so many pictures in the last post. I am hoping the amount of pictures I added
showed the amount of time it took to just do a simple door panel. If I had to quess I have at least 8 hours into just this one door and
I am hoping the drivers side goes much faster.

When I walked out to the garage I realized it was getting cluttered and I needed to clean it up.

Minutes later it looked like this.

One hour later the floor was washed and the garage smelled like Simple Green and even made a table with the new wheels and tires.

My neighbors son came over and helped me with the door panel today. We marked all the holes that needed to be
drilled for the plastic clips and spent 15 minutes making holes and hoping they all were in the proper place.

We installed all of the clips on the back of the door panel.

I am finally cleaning up and moving the parts I no longer need to the Attic.

Finally pulling the tape of the drivers door as it;s been on their since I rebuilt the hinges.

So, this turned out to be much harder then I expected.

I couldn't get the stud started and I assumed it was because of the spring pressure.

Since the part was freshly powder coated I added a small amount of heat shrink to the bottom of the spring to protect the paint.

I really dig the Mag Daddy clips you used. Great idea. The dash support you were tapping, is there only one of those? Where about does it go? I took my 70 apart about 6-8 yrs ago and I don’t remember those.

I need to tap the small hole closest to the switch so I can bolt the bracket to the bottom of the tray. Since my eye's don't work as well as they used to I needed to take a picture of the tap.
