Curious as to what it takes to get the gauges to work right. Wanting to do something similar but with a different truck.

the caddy guages are simular to most late model guages, you will need a schematic of the guages to figure out what wires are what. then pick up the signal from the computer terminal. (thats avail from street & perf website) the tricky part is getting the message centre working in the cluster. i used the data wires from my dlc connector. then each time you ground the stearing wheel controll pin it advances to the next message. it takes a little research but wasnt very expensive. thanks bill

Oh ok. I wonder how difficult then, a set of either 06-07 Silverado gauges or 02 Caddy Escalade gauges would be. Truck to truck but obviously some key things may run through the cluster information/computer wise.

if you would go with the basic silverado w/no message center its pretty simple,actually less wires than individual guages. a whole lot of info flows thru the green wire in your data link connector. (class 2 serial data) bill

heres a few progress pics. i took a good break from working on the truck due to youth travel baseball and softball,so my pics dont show that much progress. im currently in the shake down phase. everything is working good and im super impressed w my ls set up. thanks for checking in bill

windows, interior,a/c hooked up. still alot of headaches but atleast its driving.thanks bill
