A few more pictures of the front , coming along . Still got work to do where fender meets header panel ( slight buckle ).
Hood it's there I'm just debating on buying billet hinges or stocks to finalize gap. I have old stocks in there now and they pretty worn out. Header panel will get cut with thin dremel blade in between spot welds to get some good penetration. http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/...ps57176411.jpg http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/...ps276af06a.jpg http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/...ps43258468.jpg http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/...ps4b338367.jpg http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/...pscb64aa12.jpg |

That looks great Frank. That really make the front on these cars, tightening up all those gaps. Nice work !

Wow - too much custom - brain freeze
Really neat work on the car. Very impressive custom touches. Truly unique based on all the 69 threads that I've read so far. Was wonder on your accessory drive system - is that from a Cadillac CTS-V? Was impressed that you were able to keep the AC compressor mounted low and close to the block. Most other accessory drive's I've looked at (aftermarket ones) want to mount the AC compressor high. I think your system is better for PT activities. Also, I am in awe of the work on the headlamp doors to get them where you want them. Truth in where there's a will there's a way.
Looking forward to seeing the final result. Rod |

Accessory drive is mostly from 05 Cts-v . I changed alternator bracket ( 01 Camaro - modified )to keep at stock location and built compressor bracket ( using sd7 compressor ) from scratch to run from same belt. It was important to me in keeping all low and stock looking. It's not yet a proof set up, waiting to fire it up to see how that belt behaves . Especially on high rpm shifts. Those head lamp doors are a pain in the a// to make them fit. I had to reposition the two weld in nuts on core support. Played with it quite a bit |
Obd Ii
Was wondering where you decided to put the OBD II connector? Is there a "good" location for it? I've heard about issues with the doors and you've now confirmed it. But they do really dress up the front of the car. I think that in the end you are going to love it after all is said and done. And boy do I agree with you about lining up the drives to use a single belt. I had heard that the CTS-V had the best of the OEM arrangements. Good re-use of parts. I was either going with the CTS-V or a Drive Junky setup from MCB. Anxious to see the car when done. So keep up the good work. No rush as I think that quality is always better than speed. "You either want it done right or right now. You choose".
