Wow, having the car on a rotisserie sure looks like a good way to set up a suspension and weld all the brackets from a right side up position. Do you have to notch the rear frame rails for a pocket to accept the front of the lower arms?

Coming along great, Joe! Cleco pins are one of the best things ever invented!

More work the last two days.
Had to remove the temporary supports I had holding the housing. I didn't have enough steel on hand so I used a couple of old lawn tractor blades :drowninga: I ordered some spring perches so I could drop it down a little farther to mock-up trailing arm clearance. A couple more days to work on it then I am off to Austin to see my daughter/ We are taking a sheet metal class at Hammerfab next week. |
Joe, did you ever get the wheels in? Let's see pics if so....

Larry and Zak are awesome to deal with. They allowed me the time (weeks and weeks) to get the measurements right. I agonized over the measuring :headscratch:, built jigs, built supports for a 9" housing, had a friend come over and double check all my measurements. Going with titanium centers and brushed barrels. |

I got the housing setting on some square tubing that is tacked to the frame rails and on top of actual spring perches. I got it as low/high as I think it will be for bottoming out.
I then was able to get it all squared up and centered so I mad some templates out f cardboard, then hardboard. I need to get these dialed in and have four of them plasma cut. more fiddling ahead |
Looking good Joe.

The trailing arm plates are now cut and ready to weld on the passenger side. Looking forward to getting it on the ground. #speedtechperformane torque arm.
