A friend just shared with me that there is an article written and posted on Hotrod Hotline about my car. I was pretty shocked to hear that as I had not been contacted by anyone about writing such an article. All the info and pictures were taken from either here on PT.com or Lat-g.com. So the guy, Tommy Parry, is on one of the two sites.
While I do appreciate the article and notoriety it brings, I am disturbed by the last paragraph and where the "writer" decided to take liberty and say that the build put my "marriage on the rocks'. This could not be further from the truth in any regard, my wife loves my cars and what I do with them. She is wholly supportive in what I do and how I do it. Never once a debate on the amount of time or money invested. Largely because the money does not come from our "house" money. My paycheck goes to everything house/family related. My car money comes from doing side work. Thats why it took seven years to build this car. So whoever you are Tommy Parry, I didn't appreciate your added drama into the article on my car. https://www.hotrodhotline.com/node/19535#.WkZwSjvfPBI |
Glenn, I've been in a similar situation in the past. I hope the author meant no harm but in my opinion it is pretty sleazy to submit an article for publication without even speaking with the source. Especially when the author completely fabricates at least one part of the story to add drama. I wonder if you can email their site and have the article rewritten or at least the last paragraph removed for accuracy's sake.
I did see an email address ([email protected]) on the site that may be a good start. Best of luck. |

What sucks is that no one ever even reached out to me to ask if I was cool with it. I can tell he just stole all the content from one of the two forums as he only has be listed as Glenn, no last name in the article or the photo credits. Just Glenn. |

Okay I say the Author is a jerk. No way should he had ever said anything like that. I mean was it really need... NO! so he should have never said it.
Other then that the article is really nice. |

Sorry to hear about this, Glenn. That's a completely unnecessary shot at your private life, joke or not. I'm not clicking on the link. That's how websites like that survive. I hope you get more legitimate coverage of the car and your work as time passes. It's very deserving of a magazine spread.

I have been incredibly sick for several months now and haven't had the energy or will to work on the car since coming home from the upholstery shop. Now starting to feel human again, although still not 100%, I ventured out to the garage today to play a little.
I want to make a close out panel for the font grill/rad support area. Today I made up a template in posterboard. I don't have a large enough piece of metal on hand, but just enough to make up one half. I am going to remake it out of one large pice, but wanted to go ahead and make the half just to test out how it will mount and how it will fit. So far I am very happy with its results. Here the beginning of the part. Hope to get the full one pice made this week. Then I will trim and fit it, then paint ithttps://i.hmjimg.com/images/2018/01/27/IMG_4518.md.jpg https://i.hmjimg.com/images/2018/01/27/IMG_4531.md.jpg https://i.hmjimg.com/images/2018/01/27/IMG_4532.md.jpg |
