I would but I'm not sure Sieg could control himself surrounded by all that fresh rubber. + I'd have to expend a lot of energy ensuring he stayed away from my carb. :D

335's mrsn this must be a rear engined Chevelle. :headscratch:

:D

Wissing72 05-01-2013 06:20 AM

Wow it gets deep in here! Glad to see you got the rubber going under her.

Roadster Shop 05-01-2013 09:06 AM

We mocked the car up with 335's. While they definitely would give a lot more protection during mooring, we were concerned that they would stick out too far and hit cones on the autocross. (13.5" section width vs. 11.2" section width of a 285):D

We are also looking at making some billet mounting chains for Rob now that our CNC is up and running. Nothing looks worse than rusty chains all over the deck!

Hey these final mock up pictures were supposed to be secret. :smiley_smack: I can't believe you posted them. Now everyone will be copying my innovative design ideas. I knew I should have wrote an exclusivity contract. :guns:

Rob, glad to see you got some skins for the girl. You want to just "send" them my way so I can break them in for ya? I am soooo getting the itch for wheels and tires. I am hoping the next couple months I will be there.
What plans do you have for the body, mods or stock?

Thanks for the break in offer, I'll keep it in mind. :lmao:

NO body mods on the exterior that is my goal. The rear is tubbed and once I remove the remainder of the shock towers and inner apron there is nothing but open space to the inside up front. The trick will be minimizing the backspace to maximize track while still maintaining usable turning radius. I'm working on a plan.

Looks like a mobile car crusher to me. Or an add on for your shop. Your shop just got bigger then a 32 Ford, 56 Chevy, and a Mustang.

Rob those tires look great on there.

Greg: Mobile work bench? You can fit more cars in there than I can fit in my garage! and take the m with you when you leave.

Ron in SoCal 05-06-2013 02:59 PM

I dunno. I see the mobile garage...where's the workbench (pic)? :headscratch:

I doubt the '33 Weldster will be occupying the lower bunk......unless it leaks real bad. :D

GregWeld 05-06-2013 06:03 PM

Ya know --- if ROB could take some photos of his car so we could see what it really looks like etc -- I wouldn't have been able to jack this thread so quickly with a lousy old mobile work bench....

I'm so dyin' to see what the Torino looks like -- aren't you guys?

What's it gonna take to get some 20th century photo's of your project?

Facebook page and paypal account so we can all donate to the Torino Glamour Shots cause?

Can't believe I'm even suggesting this for a flippin Ford. :sieg:
