Superior Glassworks - in Molalla, Oregon built the chassis. After looking and discussing this chassis with about a million people that build 'em - they all looked to be about the same... so decided to keep it local. The '37 is all about loading up the trunk and going cruising... thus - just a simple leaf spring rear - power rack - manual Wilwood brakes... LS motor. Super simple - super clean nice little crusin' machine. Did I mention the multi channel McIntosh Amp... it has to have killer crusin' tunes... and big A/C. |

Of course I was kidding when I asked that rhetorical question... and of course the RATTLER is doing just exactly what they say and exactly as it should.... the problem is - this is a hot rod - not a race car... and with no hood sides etc... the "rattling" sounds like something is falling off the car. Quite embarrassing to say the least... So it's OUT, and a Fluid Damper is in.... I'll use the rattling POS on something more suitable. Maybe Todd will want it? |
[QUOTE=GregWeld;349937]I have a '37 Ford - Minotti body 3 window coupe - and I already had the chassis custom built (a year or more ago) - LS6 (probably won't use it but buy a new LS3 or ? - will get 8 stack or blower... was going to be an automatic for cruising - has a Ford 9" on inboard mounted leaf springs and the chassis was C notched for low ride... It's going to be PPG Barcelona Blue (have posted a '32 that is the correct color)... and Recovery room interior... :woot:
Here's the butt ugly hump as it is - the way I bought it for a complete do over project. Some pretty ugly stuff comes out of BAKERSFIELD I can tell ya! http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/a...i/100_1760.jpg Just tell me your going to keep those graphics. May those are super HOTT. That interior idea in that car would be awesome. |

I'm waiting for the old DB next door to croak... then I'll buy his house and knock the POS down and build a set up like Charley has... one shed for clean and pretty and one shed for down and dirty. Of course my wife might have a thing or two to say about that.... :woot: |

I figured you were playing around with that rattler question, I thought to myself why would Greg ask that kind of question when he has worked and had more bitchin cars than I'll ever get to see,it must be the altitude here where I live lol. Glad to see the new changes! |

The 1970's graphics are the only reason I bought the POS... Sure wish they'd have incorporated some lace painting in there though... would have been "far out" then.... |

A good buzz on will do that some times.... It's just one of those parts I always wanted.... Sometimes I mess up. Must be why I have a shop full of "used" stuff... |

And here's an interior idea I've been slobbering over for a couple years..... http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/a...a950b735_o.jpg Ok i am not a huge fan of the color.......... but that is a sick interior!!! |
I would've polished em. :unibrow:
Rattler, I wouldn't run that cheap junk on my mill. ATI baby! |

I'm not a fan of RED interiors -- but the little blue '32 I posted up has a great Red interior.... and I'm going with a waterfall console between the bucket seats... A really great red would look killer with the PPG Barcelona Blue... The interior is a factory Ferrari job. |
The heads look great. Much better.
That interior is sick. |
That looks great! Time to get it ready for the trip to Columbus now... :D

Thas what I'm talk'n' 'bout! I just need to finish up the Camaro for my brother in law - the blown 383 goes on the dyno Saturday and I have just a little body and paint work left to do - kick it to the curb - and then let the welding begin! |
i agree a Aston Martin has a really nice rich dark brownie red that they put in the blue db9's
 maybe ship it to aston to get the interior done.... what do you thisk Tracy?? lmao |
So to this moment you own or have owned:
A '69 Corvette, a '69 Camaro, a '56 Panel Bel Air, a Ford '34, a Ford '32... +tweaks and mods (for each and everyone of them...) am I missing anything? Get a Ferrari, or a Veyron |
Greg,
Heads look great! like the new project also! That interior is amazing looking! |

Dude.... It would take a friggin book or a roll of toilet paper and a fine pen to make that list... Try serveral 66/67/70 Vettes coupes and convertibles, several 69 Camaros coupes and convertibles, several tri fives, several Mopars, a couple 50's Ford picks em ups... Then you can start with the 70 Chevelles... Vegas... Mercs... Healys... MG's... Then we can list the drag cars, and a couple El Caminos...and if I had more of a brain I could think of a few more. Been a gearhead all my life and that's some 42 years of buying and selling and fixing and racing and taken 'em apart and puttin' 'em together again. Many of them I look back at now and think "WTF" but at the time that was the style - and the wheels etc. I've never had a '34 Ford... or anything with a Hemi except the POS SRT8 I bought (and sold just as quickly)... |
What I have right now is the '32 the '37 and my Nomad... two done one to go.
I'm not a collector... so after awhile - they end up going down the road. I've had the Nomad for 12+ years... |

Thanks Tyler! The '37 would have been done already if I hadn't stumbled into buying the '32 on a whim... and then decided to tear into my sisters POS... it needed some MAJOR help - so slicking his/her firewall and inner fenders... new TCI subframe... new motor (a bunch of my old parts like a 383 I had block and crank and some Canfield 220 aluminum heads - and other misc crap). And a complete new Hiway 22 wire system. So the '37 will just have to wait for this summer to be done (I don't work on this stuff in the summer). |
Hey Greg what windshield frame is that?

Just realized that I didn't post up any pics of the new dash or the console now that it's done... changed the wheel to the banjo style and had it wrapped to match, ditched all the knobs and resized the column drop, changed the carpet and added the antique heater.
