Marty, is that a Vintage Air A/C compressor block fitting? We're laying that stuff out now and I like how yours works with the Wegner drive layout.

This is the one that came with the Wegner kit. I would call Casey and ask him which one it is.

2013 10-28 2nd Chance - Carbon 34
www.2ndchancecamaro.com

Good Afternoon,

My goal is to do at least one more post today so we can catch up before the car leaves for Sema on Friday.

Coming from the Syclone Typhoon world you make some great Friends. Michael King was kind enough to help us out when the other vendor
decided he would just keep the money and not make them the door handles for the project. When I asked Mike he said sure no problem
just send me the handles and I will take care of you.

Those mounts for the bike are so well executed.

Whoever it was that suggesting putting the bike on the quarter panel is a genius.

I'm not really sure what f'n' idiot would come up with such a ridiculous idea. NOBODY puts a bike rack on a car with carbon fiber door handles!

Welcome Opie.

Rick it was a set up, actually Marty subliminally planted the design idea seed in you. :D

Think articulating suction cup mounts :unibrow:

2013 10-29 2nd Chance - Kenny starting the Interior
www.2ndchancecamaro.com

Good Afternoon,

Kenny decided to take on the interior in the car. He was able to complete the interior in this car in a little over 4 weeks and remember
guys Kenny's shop is only open in the evening and weekends.

Jumped on Billet Specialties website and ordered up some more parts for the car.

And lets not forget the most important stuff.

Sound control from DEI ( www.designengineering.com ). When you want an old car to feel like a new car take a look at what DEI has to offer.

From Sound Deadening to Heat protection there stuff is top notch.

2013 10-30 2nd Chance - Interior is getting closer
www.2ndchancecamaro.com

Good Morning,

Everything comes down to the wire and that seems to be a Sema thing.

Kenny had a friend come over and install the headliner and lay down the padding over the Boom Mat and there new Under Carpet Lite - Sound Absorbion & Insulation. Of course we don't have any pictures because Kenny was in a rush. I am not sure if they would have been worth posting because of his mad Camera skills.

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...14a33de-me.jpg

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...34ca0e4-me.jpg

After seeing the pictures of Ed Capens dash I asked Kenny if it would be possible to wrap the dash on the car.

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...8defc8e-me.jpg

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...5f326ee-me.jpg

2013 10-31 2nd Chance - Interior is complete
www.2ndchancecamaro.com

Good Morning or is it night time ? I guess that all depends on what time it is when you read this message.

I am in love the Gauges from Autometer's Custom Shop and I think they fit very nice in the Anvil Carbon Fiber Dash Insert.

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...771bfb6-me.jpg

The guys at TMI custom made the rear seat to match the front seats. Both Seats were made in leather instead of vinyl. They were
a pleasure to work with and I look forward to working with them on future projects.

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...d6939ea-me.jpg

and yes that is a Marquez package tray.

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...30cb2a8-me.jpg

The center console is complete less cup holder & iPhone holder.

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...8e6e754-me.jpg

You can see the Kicker Speakers sitting on the floor waiting to find there way into the 2nd Gen Kick Panels.

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...a94b766-me.jpg

These are the stock seats updated with the TMI seat foam.

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...02bdcf0-me.jpg

The 4 Point harness are from Seat Belt Planet and they are DOT approved so they are legal to drive in all 50 states.

Plus they are very comfortable andI have used there stuff on my last 4 projects.

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...dcf92d7-me.jpg

The door Panels are complete less red strap door pulls but that is not going to happen till after Sema.

http://garagescene.net/_data/i/uploa...3f0a8dc-me.jpg

and yes we painted the Stainless Steel Tiger cage red.

bulldog19 10-31-2013 02:59 AM

Very Nice Marty. The Red Tiger Cage and seatbelts are nice touch.

Rick D 10-31-2013 05:37 AM

For Sema it will have the bike we received from Downers Grove Trek. It's a 2012 Ticket which I use at Ray's Indoor Mountain Bike Park or in my Back Yard.

syborg tt 10-31-2013 10:06 AM

When I decided I wanted to do 2nd Gen Camaro my goal was to find a survivor car that we could turn into something cool. Originally I was looking for a car just like this one ( exactly as I love this color ).

This Gordon Rojewski's 1967 Camaro and I am telling you it's my dream car.

http://i1216.photobucket.com/albums/...psd31de1dc.jpg

Then at Good-Guys Columbus the guys at Greening Automotive showed up with this beast. And of course it set the wheels in motion again.

http://garagescene.net/gallery3/var/...0%28275%29.JPG

The goal was to have nice paint but not perfect. Just nice. Kenny of course being who Kenny is kept making it nicer and nicer. I'm not worried about scratches dings or small dents on this car as it will add to the character that I so want on the car.

I want people to walk up to the car and see all of the little details that Kenny and the guys did at the shop. The Engine bay has turned out way better then I could have imagined and when you see it with the red MSD coils I hope everyone feels the same way about as I do.

As for the interior I wanted to do Black with Red Accents on Syborg but it just fit the project. So this project had to have all the interior I have been thinking about for years. The cool part is this is just the first version of the interior and the final version is so over the top that I can't wait to start on that version.

I am also looking forward to building the new Scott Mock Subframe up and I am hoping I can convince Al's kids to come over and help me detail out the suspension components like they are doing on there 5th gen Camaro. I have a few crazy idea's for it as well.

glassman 10-31-2013 05:23 PM
