Looks great
Payton car looks amazing ... have you wrapped cars before?
My car will be painted but was considering some wrap on the nose to protect from rock chips and was curious if wrap would be OK for the underlying paint |
Thanks Guys!
I have not tried wrapping one myself, but the F350 I bought a few years ago was wrapped matte black. Pulled it off last summer and the paint is perfect underneath. I will probably try wrapping this one myself |
A few small updates
We decided the deck lid needed another support and a couple more fasteners https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-...-xprBwqz-L.jpg Also made tow hooks and vents for the rear https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-...-WKTNkf9-L.jpg https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-...-q9g8vPt-L.jpg https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-...-269KbgS-L.jpg |

False floor will have insulation under it for heat control

Nice. The rear vents, will there be channels for the air to flow through or is that above a diffuser?
|
The brakes look like they will stop a tank! I like the front and rear valances.
|
Thanks!
Vents above diffuser |

Getting out of hand in the best of ways! LOL
Love it. |
Looks good Payton, I want those valence screens.

It looks all time attack and whatnot. Are you going to hang out with people who have Mitsubishi Evos at Willow Springs when this thing is done?
Dave definitely needs to help with the removal and replacement of that scraper . . . when it's ready. After this, he can coach you on doing trailer burnouts. |

So aggressive and yet not gaudy. |
Now that is a proper Race Car

Amazing car Payton!!! I love the lower valence opening screens. I have always wanted something like this. Now to see who can make them for me. |
The front of this looks NASTY, like it's going to eat you up! Looking good Payton.

This is just such a bad mother trucker !!
Jim Pettigrew is just a phenomenal fabricator. |

Fantastic! Love how this car is turning out.
|
Thanks for the kind words guys. This was supposed to be an 8 month project, just had a 6 year birthday. Time gets away for sure. Pulling the motor this weekend, going to bring it home for disassembly and then off to powder.
Those lower screens on the valence keeps the trash off the radiator, the grill area is blocked off. |
