Thanks guys, leaving Thursday and not quite ready yet. Got one header off that I had to modify, sent it back to the coaters and hopefully getting it back tomorrow, hoods off, could never get it to fit quite right with the fesler billet hinges even though I could get it to lay down perfect w/the original hinges and today I couldn't take it anymore so I removed the billet hinges and decided to modify them a tad on the milling machine....well there goes any warranty but there wasn't anything I could do to make them fit right..we'll find out tomorrow if it worked out..these were things I was going to do this winter after enjoying it for the summer but you know the deal..it's SEMA time, been driving it this summer so the cars going to get buffed out Wednesday and then loaded onto the trailer ready to roll... pretty stoked. Greg, I did take it to your buddy over at Performance Coatings and man he has went above and beyond to help me out. I couldn't have asked for more and yeah, this winter I'll probably trade them out for Ring Brothers hinges if I don't sell it first and move on.:thumbsup:

Lenie I can't believe you couldn't get them to work. There is a ton of adjustment . Is your hood OEM or AfterCrap? I had a problem with mine only to figure out it was the AfterCrap hood causing the problem! So I had to adjust accordingly!:bang:

To funny, Mario it's the original hood, I just ran out of downward adjustment on the back bolt slots. I was told to work the forward and back bolts together until it settled in but that just didn't do the trick so I re machined the slots and shoulders, but I do like your approach and have taken that same route in the past.

I have ring brother hinges and I had to stand on my hood with Tim, like Mario did, and still had to take the hinges to the milling machine to get more adjustment. You got to realize that we are working to tighten all the gaps and get perfect panel alignment on the car. Every car is different and some need more adjustment.

Funny you should say that, Mr. Foose did a walk around of the car with me at SEMA and pointed out a few things that my car had in common w/a build he'd just finished. I hadn't seen the car until the other night also. Their build turned out very nice, wouldn't it be awesome to be able to finish our own cars in seven days!!! :D

Who got married Greg to bring you to Washington? Two months of sunshine and heat but on goodguys weekend grey and sprinkles...needed it but not on gg weekend. In my humble opinion, not one of the better gg's here so you picked a good one to miss although it never gets old seeing everyone from Lateral there...good group!

It was great chatting with you and seeing the car again. Next year I'll hopefully bring my car.
