Also, are you pumping out to a cooler? Where are you going to mount it if so?

I was thinking you should just buy a Nextel Cup car

Thanks. I hope so... If not, make a change!

Negative? Since I don't care about the noise a locker makes and almost welcome it, the only potential negative thing I need to experience myself is the deal on corners of a road course. Some say it's a little sketchy and takes adjustments and getting used to. Most autoX guys love it.

I've said this before, but I chose Jake and went with his full recipe (as close as I can) on his AIX 2nd gen. He spent 3 years dialing it in and did very well in AIX with it, also something that is on my goal list for the next 5 years.

I believe I can use the pump still. Def not an expert either.

Not gonna run a cooler to start. Gonna run a line from pump out back to the return fitting on the housing.

You're like me, I like the noises, whines, and vibrations that a Hod Rod makes.
I say.. If ya can't feel It, smell It or hear It, what's the damn point!:D

I agree with Dave and Jerry on the rowdy and rough part. When I put the Mustang in gear - you'd think the tranny or something was going to drop out the bottom -- the whole car goes "CLUNK"! And driving slow through the pits - if you let off the throttle - the rear end bangs and clunks... and the whole experience is just the polar opposite of driving something "normal".... which is exactly what I like about it!

I have a C&R unit that has a Tru Trac in it with the internal pump .. No problem on the replacement of the locker

Now why would you get a unit like this.. a built in pump for cooler & not run it.. i recommend that you run it.. Also when you vent the diff.. try to run a -10 hose.. it will help with pressure the diff builds.. here is pic of the one I did on Blu...

Good to know...

Cris,

Does that cooler get much airflow? Tucked up against the gas tank like that, it's hard to see how much air would get through the fins? Or is the cooling in this case less about flow and more just about surface area to dissipate the heat? You aren't running a temp gauge on the diff, are you?
