Built a little work bench for the garage
I've got a little up date. I started building a work bench along the back wall of the garage. I had some wood left over from the build so I put it to good use. Some of it reminded me of the road courses you guy run or sort of how I like my women ( a little twisted ). The bench is 12' L x 32 W x 42 H it is attached to the wall with Hex Washer Head Tapcon's. I divided the length by three for the up rights and added a cross brace a 2x4 at the 8' mark so I would have something to secure the plywood I'm using for a top. It will be two 3/4" pieces doubled up. I used cad plated deck screws to build it. I just threw some pieces of plywood on top for now so I can get back on the car. I'll get the plywood ripped and attach it after I'm done putting in some shelves and a few more up rights.
Here are a few pictures. http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w...t/000_1094.jpg http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w...t/000_1097.jpg http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w...t/000_1095.jpg http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w...t/000_1099.jpg http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w...t/000_1104.jpg http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w...t/000_1101.jpg http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w...t/000_1105.jpg The last bay ended up perfect to fit my old wheels and tires. |
got out in the garage today, this was actually a 2 day job first I put pvc conduit from my main panel to my compressor disconnect.

No one around so I used my s20 year old shop vac taped to the end of the pve near the main to pull some braided line through the pipe so I could pull the wires. Got the line through only took 20 minutes. Then came time to pull the wire. I was all alone so I got my friend Bell to help Dumb bell that is. I tied the weight to the end of the line and went back to the other end and fed the wires in. Amazingly it actually worked ! Only had one ladder at the time so it was pull move the ladder then repeat. Must have gone up and down at least 100 time easy. Then I gave in and got my extension ladder to use on one end. Here's my little helper. http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w...ps29d58e00.jpg I tied the line to the garage door because the weight kept hitting a shelf below the panel and would only pull 3' of wire at a time. I have a video of it working but can't load it to Photobucket for some reason. I'll try again later. All in all a very productive day. |
You know they make fish tape for that... and wire slime to make the wire glide in the conduit....
HAHAHAHAHAHA I love the ingenuity! Good job!! |
