Yep,

The car is only going to have 500hp so there is no need to waste the money on a 12 bolt or god forbid but a "Ford" 9" under a chevy ((   ))

However, I Upgraded the axles to Mosers, added TA Diff Cover and Eaton Center Section we may even weld the Axle tubes to the Center Section.

This project goal is not to go overkill on everything. Spend the money where it needs to be spent and that's it.

But the 10.5" Rear is there and it's Free - Fab 9 still cost money and it's still not necessary.

Why spend money that you don't have to. You still have to buy a new center section. New Drive Shaft bla bla bla

Only spend money that you need to spend.

The car is being built to actually be driven and driven to MTB trails so I can ride. I am sure I will do a couple autocross events. But other then that the plan is to actually enjoy the car and not make it into something that will be a PIA to own and that is where most of us screw up. Just think back to when you were an actual kid and you and your friends were out cruising the streets and driving your car.

The problem i see with most projects we all think we have all of this free time to take our cars to Track Events, Good-Guys shows and what not. Why not just build a car you can actually drive and if you make it to an event then by all means use it.

The car is looking good. Marty what car did you get those spare tires from? I need to get some for rollers for my car. Nice trailer.

Hi Wayne.

The spare's are from a late model GTO. Chad at Fletchers hooked me up with a Guy and I can't thank him enough. They clear the Kore3 brakes perfectly.

I have raced with 8.5 10 bolts on different road course types of racing and never had any issue. normally the weakest link are the axles. I am putting moser axles in my 8.2 10 bolt in my Chevelle. I'm running a LS5.3 so not a ton of torque. my next project will be a 2nd Gen Camaro and I will run the 8.5 10 bolt also.

Thanks good to know...
