Quick pic of the engine mock up as next week they are doing all the wiring. It’s all going to be mill spec, Raychem DR25 motorsport heatshrink, etc….. http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/...psfded6c73.png |
Very impressive for a first project.

Al,
Looks great! What kind of black braided hose are you using in the engine compartment? |
I really need this to be a feature over on our sister site! Absolutely incredible build.

Here is whats left of the interior harness after removing all the unnecessary wires and connectors. http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/...ps8075ec5b.jpg http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/...ps04291e6d.jpg Over 9 lbs of wires remove off the interior harness alone. This is the accessory harness. You can see how it is now routed through the frame instead of the engine bay. http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/...ps485b3665.png The speed sensor connector not drops into the wheel well instead of cluttering the engine bay. http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/...ps6e25511d.png You can see were it comes out of the frame and feeds the horns, radiator fans, air temp sensor and ground. http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/...pse1ffe6ae.png Here you can see how the harness runs across and over to the passenger side. http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/...ps3b0f4bc7.png We really need to give and HUGE thanks and shout out to Eric from EJ Wire Works http://www.ejwireworks.com who has been doing all the wiring. He is definitely a God send! http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/...ps0d475007.jpg He's been in the business over 25 years, and specializes in Trophies trucks where those harness are just over the top. He worked at Alpine at one point where they made those custom SEMA cars. Hot Rods and Custom Stuff uses him as their go-to guy for all of their wiring. So for any home builder or Pro shop looking for a great guy, Eric is your man as he is mobile and does works in all the west coast states. Here is another one of those cool little details. Notice how the water vapor line now goes into the radiator tube instead to the actual radiator. Next the radiator cap will be welded into the tube also. Lot's of thoughts and work into this tube! http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/...psbff39e4a.png The engine was missing something...... So for the crowning jewel, OZMO is making the first single long runner single TB intake. Should arrive in 6 weeks. The runners are 6.8" long. It will run a 102 Nick Williams Billet TB. http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/...psc7eda9f4.jpg http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/...ps376f1c9f.jpg The boys are contemplating whether to go with the rails on the inside or outside but are leaning to outside as it compliments the mechanical theme.. http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/...ps11e6d636.jpg http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/...ps9a683fef.jpg |
Thanks Al for great detailed info. This is so far coolest topic i have seen!
|
Beautiful!! The intake is slick! Where do you get those radiator hose clamps?
Thanks in advance! |
