Oh yeah -- that's the whole reason for the move to CHRA -- well -- now turns out to be one of many good reasons to move -- but It WILL BE DONE for the tour.

Napkin sketches sometimes work just great. One of the guys in the shop sketched it in pencil -- BAM! Build it!

The truck looks great but I sure wish we had a build thread on the '70 Mustang.

Would love to see construction photos of how they built that tailpan but its not that kind of build thread, they have better uses for their time.

I have a pic with the metal man cutting some sheet stock on a Beverly Shear for the pan - but it's a pretty boring post dude!! LOL

SUTTON will post the build of the GT car when he's got something to post.... right now --- it's nothing than stuff on order.... body is due in Calif or may even be on it's way..... once they have the BODY -- the chassis will go on the table. The chassis shop didn't want to start a chassis without a body to pull from.

Seriously, great lines. It works with the truck but also says there's something more here. Maybe even something sporty. I dig it. Glad this is working out so well for you, Greg

Thanks Trey!! I'm so happy with this shop! They can "design and build" and they've given fantastic guidance for the small things.... and still keep in mind the goal at the same time (daily driven).

I guess even a blind squirrel gets a nut once in awhile.

I hate to say it -- but I actually owe Lillard for that call. While I was generally unhappy -- I hadn't decided to pull the plug on him.... Until Charley called. Then it was BAM!

Must be nice to have your own personal 'Shell Answer Man' on speed dial, Bruh.

I always imagine this site as a bunch of yahoos in a garage - friday night - beer in hand.... kinda the way a rat rod gets built.

LOL

LOL

I have a completely different opinion of how they get "built".... heavy pharma experimentation and total lack of adult supervision...

Whatever the color is that leaks from what's put in there..... So - rear end 90W - I have two Chocolate Labs..... Scratches from large rifle cases.... Charley's underwear....

LOL

Plan is for a black that lets the grain still show thru. Can't remember the exact color I picked.

I don't know -- can't remember..... I think it was one of those filter regulator styles from GM....

Your house will be fine..... They're never done when they say they will be - and they never cost less... LOL

I like yours too!!! Thanks for the idea!! ETA is sometime to get shakedown miles on it before the September Hall of Fame tour -- which this truck WILL be on.

No kidding!! This has taken way too long... Although you have to give me back the year I was trying to die. After that.... it shoulda been D-O-N-E !!

The kool part -- it's gonna be done and then I'm going to drive it 3000 miles on its maiden voyage.

<rummaging around for the blow me emoji)

Thank you! One of the things I've discussed with Mike @ CHRA ----- "some folks will see a nice old pickup going by.... but real car guys will come take a closer look to see what's going on."

Thanks for noticing!

You are welcome.

I grew up in hot rod household. My dad instilled in me that some of the best mods are the ones that most people never even pick up on.

Mike is right on the money with that quote. I love going to shows and looking at vehicles and finding the "where's Waldo" of modifications.

In my opinion the best mods are the ones that look factory. :)

This truck is full of them. :)

BUT I still think the fuel filler needs to be moved to the body line on the fender and it needs to be a "Crafty B" flip filler with a "**** Cancer!" inscription!

FWIW I'll buy it if you'll put it on the truck!
