thats what makes auto x fun, you don't usually get enough runs to memorize the layout. It mostly comes to driver instinct and setting up the car right. You can only get so much walking a course...unless your a Pozzi.

that's sig material, love it!

You speak the truth  It's even more fun taking out the high $ cars with all their electronics, ie throttle stops, delay boxs.

I had the privilege of meeting Gwen and Greg and getting a quick personal trailer tour of Old Yeller today! The car is exceptional in person, what a track weapon! Great job on the build Charlie.

Greg - It was a real pleasure to finally meet you and your lovely wife all though way too brief of a meeting.

Hope the forecast holds as it looks to be awfully good. Will Gwen get some instruction/site laps to learn the reference points?

Have a great time at T-Hill!

Thanks buddy! Was good to shake hands with you too!

We settled into Redding for the night -- it was a dilly dally kind of day.... no big rush to get down here... Got all day tomorrow to goof off now.

Hope those heads work out for you!

How was lunch? Katie buy? :D We meet at the Blvd Grille in the summer since the owner is a car guy and blocks a section of the front lot for us.

If they don't work out they'll be the coolest bookends I've ever owned. :D
Taking them to the builder today for a strategic planning session. :unibrow:

Thanks again, enjoy D-D'ing today. Track walk after dinner tonight?

Lunch was fine - can't hurt a Cob salad much... I didn't know Geoff was a car guy... He's Katies boss where he is partner in a pizza joint... so he bought us dessert. Katie ate it.

Those heads will be killer - especially if you go stroker 383... Amazing how much more torque you can get out of 33 more cubic inches. Just keep the rod short.

GM was selling a 383 short block - don't know if they still do - but IIRC it was a bargain.

Greg,

I was planning on trying to come visit you at the track tomorrow, limited time I know. Hope to see ya in the morning.

Sieg 04-27-2012 08:30 AM

IIRC Geoff has a blue/white Tri-5.

Torque?????

:unibrow:
I love the sound of that mouse motor.

383 is the plan for the future, I might just do a quickie this season........we'll see after today's get togther.
