Hey Marty, Got the dynamat installed along with the Lizard Skin.
http://i1072.photobucket.com/albums/...ps1765045a.jpg Here is the Seats with the Houndstooth. http://i1072.photobucket.com/albums/...psa8619e47.jpg http://i1072.photobucket.com/albums/...psf9ce042c.jpg Also got the ram horn exhaust back from being coated with the Cast Iron color so it will not turn on the car. Trying to keep that old school look. http://i1072.photobucket.com/albums/...ps05c2a78f.jpg Looks like the Sub Frame with the Engine and Tranny will be coming out this weekend. Get the Sub Frame off to the Powder Coater and then start hanging the Suspension and install motor & tranny before is slide back under the body. Enjoy. Ed |

That looks great but I think you forgot to put the Carpet in. ... and this reverse build idea is really a good idea. Now if you could find a donor subframe you could just powder it and install the motor and trans and make it a quick swap. However since no two of these subframes are even close to being the same that might not work. What suspension you putting on the car ? |
Houndstooth looks great Ed!
Looking forward to seeing it a bit lower with the new wheels....what were they again? :popcorn2: Dan |
Looks like you really pulled it off. I was expecting to see the smaller Nova taillights to drive home the Nomaro theme. Those Ventura taillights do look a bit big, but that rear billet panel really makes it look nice. Seats look great as does the engine.
As has been said, it's pretty trippy. Crazy as it is that 3/4 view photo makes me think of a Maverick in a weird sort of way. Coolest thing about doing this helps us visualize "what if GM designed ..." How much suspension drop will it have? I'd like to do a quick photoshop when I get a break in the next day or two, I can't wait to see it lowered a bit. If you haven't already bought it all, while you're shopping around for suspension, give us a look... http://www.speedtechperformance.com/...=cat/cat56.htm |

I thought about the Sub frame swap but your right they are not all the same so that may cause a problem. The suspension is a mix of a bunch of parts. The Speedtech upper control arms for the front with RideTech lower control arms, 2" drop spindles and RideTech coil over shocks. The rear is TCI torque Arm with a Moser 9" and RideTech Coil over shocks. I should be able to dial the ride height right where I want it with these parts. The wheels are a 19" and 18" ralley looking copy that Alan Budnik is cutting with the correct backspacing. I have a set of disc brakes off one of my other projects that I will probably use on this. I will be pulling the sub frame with the engine and tranny this weekend then strip the sub frame, powder coat it and do final assembly on that to get it back under the body. Coming together. Not much time left until SEMA. The NOMARO will be in the HRIA/ARMO booth inside right by RideTech. Come check it out if you can. Ed |
See you at Sema

Here is the sub frame with the engine and tranny slide out from the car. anyone need a 350/350.
http://i1072.photobucket.com/albums/...ps8a3ca138.jpg http://i1072.photobucket.com/albums/...psb63a9393.jpg The car has to go up pretty high to get it out but it is a whole lot better that doing it all from the top after it is painted. few wires and tranny lines and hoses and it comes down pretty easy. http://i1072.photobucket.com/albums/...ps78c97dd1.jpg now clean up the firewall and AC box along with the wiring. |
