Derek,

Here's a few shots from yesterday. Levi told me the car is going to bodyshop on Monday...

This is not the Nova, but it was freakn' cool. I have been hanging around the shop for a couple of years and first saw this on their site, 3 years ago...

Great picts. When you look through the grill and see that procharger it just looks absolutely mean. Levi's the man for the job on that setup. Did an incredible job on it. The core support/supercharger cover he built is gorgeous.
We also have a color for the car, it is spot on and looks spooky. They painted a small panel for us to check out and the color change in certain lighting is amazing. A dark charcoal will be used. I know i keep saying this but this time its a reality...body shop any day now.

Rendering curiosity!

Question:
So I know wonder Troy says that they wait to pick colors toward the end of the build, my question is, now that they have picked the colors do they finish the rendering or is there not a rendering in this case?

I know there were some sketches of this project, but I am wondering how they lay out the color scheme at this stage, is it on paper or just on test panels that they spray and show you guys or both? and how much decision did your father and you guys have in picking the colors?

As everyone knows usually rendering's are done at the beginning of a build.

I am just curious how that works (I had EVERY curious George book ever printed, f.y.i!:D )

Looking forward to seeing it in paint, specially now that we have seen a sneek peek of the Ring Bros. "Razor" Camaro!
This summer is going to be interesting,I am really looking forward to seeing it, I cant's imagine how excited you guys are!

Well just one color was picked and we saw it a couple weeks ago. As for all of the other colors being used...yes they pick them literally when its time to paint.

Good question. I think some of their customers are pretty specific on what they want whereas we just wanted a certain overall mood to be set when looking at this car. All we said from the start was charcoal grey since that was my dads color on his nova in 1970. Something about being nostalgic or somethin. Other then that...go nuts!

Thanks...we are really excited for the summer as well. I say they add another rule to the SMOY...that being lets strap each of these cars to a dyno and see some #'s. We just got back from manteno(11pm) and the car is ready to rock to the body shop...see you on the flipside.
rockon

Glad to see this one coming along. It has been great to watch it along the process. Should look great when its done.
-Is that wagon the one that is going to be full time 4WD? I was watching that one and wondered what happened to it.
Thanks for the updates.

Yes it is. I haven't heard too much on it's future. But the engine and driveline is all mocked up.
