A 5 speed manual Monte SS could be ordered using factory parts…
 

Dealer converted cars with an assist from GM on the parts needed and made

much easier since in ‘84 Chevrolet exported Monte’s to Mexico w/350’s & a 4 speed.

You could get earlier G-bodies with a manual from GM stateside, too. Pretty cool that a dealer was offering the swap.
