If you are planning to build your cage to pass tech, check the rules first.

1.750 .120 wall tubing is usually the norm in a rule book. Using ChroMo will be pointless as it will not offer a weight savings.

Thank you sir.

I'm pretty sure I will make this the longest build ever!!! But, I've managed to get some time in on the car and it always gives you a momentum boost when you see progress. I've spent many hours fine tuning the Ultimate Products fiberglass just so I can bolt pieces down and open and close doors!!! It's not terrible but it's been fairly labor intensive getting things to fit. Never the less, I've made progress and hope to push on.

Hood looks like it will fit with some massaging as well.

x2 glad to know you're still making progress slow or not. I really dig this build. Good luck with it!

Thanks. I hate to make a plan on when I'll be ready for paint but hopefully I will keep plugging away and have it painted before October. We will see.

Thanks again, Cal

Raised floor panels.

Hi, im in the process of raising my floor pans, for exhaust clearance. Just wondering if you used 20 gauge or 18 gauge metal?

Thanks, Sandro

I used both. It has some 18 gauge bracing and flanging but the actual beaded pan is 20 gauge. Plenty solid.
