Also, I agree with your thoughts Greg. That picture was too perfect for a snarly ass comment and i couldnt restrain myself.
It is beyond easy to get overly excited on the track and make mistakes. I'm definitely not the fastest driver out there, but I've had enough seat time and "class" time to learn how much my lap times slip when I start dive bombing corners to try and catch the guy who passed me. For us amateur Schlubs restraint is often our best friend, unfortunately it not as much fun.
I like the direction you're going with the little yellow car. The more you overbuild something, beyond the minimum, the larger window you tend to create for yourself if there is an error. That was my entire philosophy with the '06 I brought out. It's for my dad to take to open track days. It stops fast and changes directions even faster, and if you run it through the gearing properly it has some get up, not a ton compared most cars around here, but enough. His limits will be so far inside of the cars limits that if here ever gets out of shape there should be some safety margin to use up before anything happens. |
