This car gets faster every week and you've never even driven it yet. :unibrow:

Ron in SoCal 07-26-2012 09:09 PM

Just ask Rick. Dual flywheels balance out my twin disk clutch. I tried three but something wasn't right.

Hey guys, sorry for the late reply...planes, trains and automobiles for the last 20 hours. Anyway thanks for the props! Car looks like it's sitting right, maybe a tad low. When I return next week I'll get the rear to the PCoater and a few other R&D items and then we move to finish assembly. So no Bryan, that 30 days aint firm... Brett continues to be meticulous (sp?)in his approach and I really appreciate that about him.

Wheels are 19x12/335 and 18x10/285. Let me know if you want BS or aspect ratio.

And Marcus, the car will be flogged. I'm not a car show guy...:D

Those aren't pillows!:wow: Looking forward to more Pics:unibrow:

The banter between you guys is just priceless. It's in almost every thread! Cracks me up to no end. Keep layin' it on thick fellas.

Ron, I'll most likely be having a chat with you about your final clutch solution to pick your brain. I'm leaning towards the Centerforce DYAD, but still considering an RST with aluminum flywheel also. Look forward to your end result(as you probably do too!) and feedback.

Call anytime Chris. Just yesterday got all the little pieces needed to mate the drivetrain and within tolerances needed to actually function properly. I'll let you know how that goes...

Greg from Aus 07-28-2012 12:16 AM

Hi Brett, can you please let me know what brand the reservoirs and bracket are as I need the same for my project.

Thanks
Greg

GregWeld 07-28-2012 06:30 AM

Bret ---

I have a couple of the 90* slotted 'jigs' that I use just like you have shown in your photos....

One of the things I did with my table - was to drill and tap (table is 1/2" steel) various combinations so I can just "bolt" the 90's to the table in various positions. It's fast and I don't end up with clamps for the 90 in my way.

Now - since I consider these "tools" - I just need to figure out what to do with them now that I have 'em. :D

Hey Greg those are made by JCG. As Mr Weld would say, 'you can always call Chris and add a little billet'...:D
