A vise would work...if I had one. I've added some tools and will be adding a few more as the process continues. As for the boots.....send em! Also send what's in them.

I do enough damage with a wire wheel. Pretty sure I'm the last guy that should be doing any type of welding. :weld:

I just sent a link to this thread to Laurie --- do you have a place to store the car??? I'm not going to want it in my garage after you move out.

You're mistake is thinking that I'd be the one to move out. Let's hope that whatever comes in those boots knows how to use a broom and make a sandwich cause that ain't happenin around here at the moment.

How big is your garage --- I've got to measure some of my stuff.

Yeah...It'll be hard to keep me out of the car honestly. Sucks walking past in the garage. I REALLY want to be driving it and the weather has been perfect for it the last few weeks.

That's a very good question and one I wish I had an answer to. 2018 is going to be a busy year for me on a few fronts. Add to that there are a some things I am unable to do myself, like building up the engine. Jeff will help me with that, but his shop is taking off and he has limited time. I'll roll the cover off it now and then and tinker a little, but nothing big will happen till late Spring or mid Summer. Sucks, but....that's life.

FaBrycation 01-22-2018 07:45 PM

Trust me I understand! why can't we all just work on our cars and parts be free. haha! Maybe we'll both will be rolling about the time and I can trade off rides with you.

That or just hit the Power Ball and live off lottery winnings. When they are done....that's a deal!!

:lmao:

I'll play some Bary White and buy her some bling if she would work with me.

gofastwclass 01-29-2018 06:14 AM

I thought that only worked on the ladies. Next time I have a stuck rusty fastener in a hard to reach place I'll play some Barry and see if I can get some love. Hahaha!!!

Some days you gotta work your magic and dig deep into the bag of tricks to get her to loosen up. :unibrow:

I'm not a gambler, thus a April 2020 notification.

Spiffav8 04-24-2018 01:25 PM

I am beating all the predicted updates so I must be ahead of schedule.

Assembly of the LS7 power plant has begun. I have never built up an engine before, but always wanted to. I am lucky that Jeff is really good at this and has the patients to teach and assist me. It's not over complex (so far), but there is more to it than I thought. So far it's been a lot of fun and I find it oddly therapeutic. Once the engine is built up and ready to go, Jeff and I will install it along with a few other items. There is no time line or hurry, but It won't be forever.
