Hard to judge metal work from picture but your attempt looks pretty good. The only way to get a perfect hidden seam is either gas or tig so you can work the weld area. Mig is just too hard. There is worse work under $300k cars.

If their orange Camaro is any indication it will look killer.

Well I made my decision today to strip Tony's car completely. After getting into the car a little deeper, I thought about it for a while and feel there is some other spots that the body work just looks to thick to me.

I feel the best thing to do is to strip it completely and start fresh from the metal work up. That way we'll know exactly what we have under the paint.

In the future if Tony needs touchup from scratches or dents it will be a much easier repair as the material won't be as thick as what's on there right now.

Pete, the car looks like it is alot more involved than most people thought. When there is that much plastic on there you probably should strip it all down. You don't need that to crack down the road, and make your work look bad. Props to you for doing a great job. If you need anything just give me a call. Thanks Jon.:thumbsup:

Pete and I had a long phone conversation today going over some details and at the end I got the feeling we both really thought the car should be stripped. It's the only real way to know what we have and it would be a shame to put one of his killer paint jobs over questionable body work. The only pics Chris didn't give me was of the mud work, so I really have no idea what's under the two paint jobs. At least this way we will know exactly what we have and there will be far less material on the car...and that's exactly why I stripped the car in the first place...all those years ago!

You can't beat that....I would be breathing a sigh of relief knowing Comp Specialties is building it from the base up. You are one lucky dude Anthony. I am so glad I had Prodigy take mine down to bare steel. It's the foundation that makes all the difference in the long run. A little delay but well worth the wait. Bad news is your going to Sema and that will hurt your pocket a little more.:D
