No, I haven't talked to Terry lately. I need to check in on him and see how his car is coming along.

What an amazing thread! I am unfortunately on the up hill side of the same project.

My good friend has been telling me for a long time " it's only metal, if you don't like the way it comes out cut it off or fill it in".

You have th best pics of the Chicane I have seem yet.

Thank you for taking the time you have to post.

Awesome built and really like the color in the rendering.

By the way, what is the backspacing on the front and rear wheels. Are the fronts 18x8s or 9s??

Wow, what a monumentally inspirational thread.

I admire your commitment to doing things right on so many levels, besides just the Camaro.

I am curious if the Chicane write-up for Speedtech ever came to fruition?

Did you relocate the UCA mounts in the course of doing it or just clean up the welds?

I was formerly subscribed anonymously, but after rereading the thread to date I had to drop in and say Keep the Faith! You are doing very well.

PS Some of the best people I ever knew were from Larose, and owned the Telephone Company there. Mr. John and Ms. Clara taught me a l lot about being a good man.

WOW! I'm over a month late on answering this post. Sorry. I haven't been working on the car much, so I rarely get on the site to check this thread. The wheel specs are 18x8's with a 4.9" BS on the front and 18x11.5's with a 5.4" BS on the rear.

Sorry for the delay in answering this one as well. I'm not sure on the write-up for the Chicane install. I wrote a detailed procedure with pictures and sent it to Blake at Speedtech, but I'm not sure where it went from there. It was more of a starting point for them to tweak since nothing was out there on the install. I didn't relocate the mounts, I just cleaned up the factory gorilla welds and then used All Metal filler to kinda smooth it out a little.

I guess I can add a few updates. I've recently bought a 6.0L shortblock, stock F-Body front drive accesories, coil packs, and a Vintage Air kit. I'm concentrating on the engine build right now. I have just about everything except some engine sensors, the cam, and the wiring harness/PCM. I need to get the engine and VA kit installed so I can route the a/c lines and then the engine harness so I can get an idea on how/where to route it.

Sorry no pictures. I'll take some during the engine build.

I'm relly watching what I spend right now on the engine, so does anyone know a good source for the engine harness/PCM/DBW pedal at a jamb up price?

Alright here's the latest update...the engine

Specs:
Stock LY6 6.0L shortbock
ARP rod bolts
Stock L92 heads (decked .028")
ARP head bolts
Patriot Extreme dual valve springs
Custom cam by Futral Motorsports (228/236, 629/612, 112LSA)
Ported throttle body
F-Body pan (modified by S&P)
F- Body accessories

I still need to get the balancer all the way on.

I painted all the cast aluminum parts (with excetion of the heads and throttle body) so they wouldn't tarnish/stain over time. Should make clean up much easier. I'm ordering the transmission this week along with a few other small parts. The next photos should be of the drive train in the car.
