How much lower do you expect the car to be? I'm just curious how much more adjustment you have in the rear with the G-Link. I've seen several installation pictures of the G-Link, but no final ride height pictures. I'm hoping to have mine in a couple of weeks.

When I got the rear tire on the car the studs are way to long, I want an open ended lug nuts but these wheels require a small 12 point kinda lug nut so I'm going to machine the tops off the lug nuts and run the studs out the top of the lug nuts.

The spring collar in the rear is spun all the way down and may need a lighter or shorter spring to get it to sit properly at the current weight. The front is just a tiny bit high but may not be able to be slammed with the 295 without tire fender contact on compression. Now that we have the wheels where we can make sure everything clears properly.

Which brings me to another bit of news, that may be plainly obvious Since SEMA is not to far away and the car is still bare metal. We decided that it was more important to include all the design features we wanted in the build of the car and be able to test the car for more then 2 weeks before SEMA. We will not be running the car in the Optima Shootout. James Shipka made me aware of the rule that unless you win the event you cannot run the same car twice in that event. There are some awesome well sorted out cars coming to the event that have had way more track time and testing then I could ever get in between now and SEMA and the Optima Challenge. So we will work through the winter to have the car ready to rock in 2010. We have events like the One Lap event, Silver state, Virginia City Hill climb, and the Goodguys auto cross events to run next year. Almost 30 events at this point. Next year will be a blast and I can finish all the ideas we have to to the level I want. In reality I picked up the chassis parts from Chassisworks 105 days ago. I guess we are not doing to bad.

As much as this sucks, I want to be able to incorporate "ALL" of the ideas I want in this car and not be cut short just to make an appearance at an event. Plus I'm not independently wealthy and I have customer who hired us to work on their cars and we need them to do that and to keep them happy.

I guess Ill start off by saying your reasoning for not debuting is a smart move and as you say theres a ton of events always. But now that the thrash is somewhat off I do enjoy reading your last sentence.

Hey Rodger the wheels look good mounted, why dont you throw on the custom grip we sent with the steering wheel haha. That color is in season right now. Can't wait to see this car finished..

So you should have about 2-3 more inches of rear ride height adjustment if the nut is all the way down, right?
