Trying to get the front down 1 1/2" or so. We have to be careful in the rear because of the body lines/exposed tire radius... you can mess that relationship up real easy. I'm a thinkin' that SAR has done this before.... and will be able to tune in on it. |
This is the stance I'm looking for - but it's far easier to get here with a dropped straight axle! I have the Kugel IFS.... and that creates it's own issues. This is a buddies '32 and I love the color and stance of the build.

That was a photo I did in iPhone ColorSplash.... here's the color.

Dude -- That (your BABY blue '32 pic) just ain't right!
And if you took the pic kneeling down -- that is a HIGH BOY! :willy: :willy: :willy:   |
Smeding Performance has shipped the 383 directly to SAR and Imagine Injection notified me that the 8 Stack EFI intake and harness etc has been shipped to them from Comp Cams (Inglese Injection).
We're making some headway on the chassis set up: Front suspension; Front crossmember moved up 1 1/2", 2 degrees of caster w/control arms in a neutral position, sway bar moved down. Rear suspension; Set rear axle back 1/4" to center wheel in the wheel well (body is different from side to side), pinion angle set at 1 1/2 degrees upwards, front and rear setting at projected rake with rear tire at 31" dia. and front at 24" dia.. The rear pinion support rods and the lower radius rods have new 1 1/4" dia. cross members and they tie in at the outer frame rails. The support rods will triangulate to the lower rods for strength. http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/a...d/CIMG5497.jpg http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/a...d/CIMG5498.jpg I also asked them to "open up" the chassis frame horns. At some point the brake thru frames leaked fluid into the frame. Only way to do it right is to open it up and clean that crap outta there! http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/a...d/CIMG5496.jpg |
Thanks for the pics! I love seeing all the progress! Can't wait to see it in person!!

Very nice Greg.
That is going to be one mean little machine. |
I've always been partial to this one:

Here's the Inglese intake for the roadster....
I have to thank Kenny D for talking me into having it powder coated before it was to be painted to match... that "seals" the intake. I think Inglese did one heck of a job getting this thing done. http://i919.photobucket.com/albums/a...d/IMG_0175.jpg |
