Really nice build! Love all the detail work and craftsmanship. Quick question on your battery wiring.... I too, put the battery in the trunk and ran the positive cable to a bulkhead in the firewall. It would appear that you have grounded the battery to the trunk floor, did you run a negative cable to the front of the vehicle as well??

Thanks, Dave

Yes positive has a 6 gauge 175 mega fuse right next battery for fuse box , and I beilieve 3.0 for + block on firewall . I did run negative straight to a welded SS bolt right on the rear rail.
Check this guy out http://www.w8ji.com/battery_wiring.htm
I would still like negative to have s high amperage fuselink but could not find one.incase of pinch due to accident , to avoid total meltdown http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/...ps91c17f54.jpgi

What some of the grounds look like from body to sub ( weld nuts on both ends and covered with dielectric grease, final will Ss bolts and ground washers

Maybe a dumb question.... I see the mega fuse on the 6 gauge, what protects the larger battery cable? and what does the 6 gauge wire go to?? I ran heavy welding cable from the positive side of battery to a bulkhead in the firewall, then to starter, etc... I know some new cars run the positive cable inside the car. Is there a fuse large enough to protect the large cable??

frankv11 06-16-2015 10:22 PM

#6 goes to fuse box , big gauge positive does not have a mega fuse but will be looking into a large enough fuselink on the ground side to protect it.
Take the time to read this http://www.w8ji.com/battery_wiring.htm
Lots of info in there
