We also spent some time working on the second of Matts new offering for us:

He had these tow hooks laser cut for us. We'll wind up with two up front, below the front valance, and one in the back. The rear one is very nearly finished and we'll be going on the fronts tomorrow.

I also wanted to take a minute to thank John at Speartech who built a pair of extension harnesses for our relocated coil brackets. He turned them around in no time flat and they fit perfectly. Great customer service is always appreciated - thanks.

What a kick ass car!! A ton of innovative ideas and parts I keep checking out. Attention to detail is awesome. For starters - that core support IMO just does it. Look forward to seeing to come togther.

Thanks guys,

Obviously this is a really cool part of the build as everything comes back together and it starts to look and feel like a car again. This week has been a bit of a roller coaster though... even though the car has been more or less completely mocked up twice so far, we had a bunch of little stuff bite us at the begining of the week; mostly basic reproduction parts that don't fit or work right (what a shock). Dumb little things like the (reproduction) push buttons for the (original and rechromed) door handles that aren't cooperating or the feeling that you get when you open your box of door locks and find the trim rings on each and every one of them damaged in some special way. Fortunately (knock on wood) I think that we are back on track again with everything coming together nicely.

Thanks Brent, we spent a lot of time on parts like the rad support and inner fenders trying to do something a little bit (or a lot) different but keep it looking like the factory could have done it that way. It's a difficult balance but I am happy with the way that it all has come together.

Thanks again,
James

Like everyone else is saying, this is one badass car. I love the attention to detail in both form & function. Can't wait to see the final assembled pics.
