lol! no but seriously, I'm so anxious to see and ride in this beauty! I love how its turning out!

It'll happen at some point. I've got a few things I'd like to do with it once the car is complete.

I like to call it " The Johnny Cash of Engine Bays". Looks real good!

Since on your avatar you think we're all #1, thought this would be appropriate.:omg: Touchee

I'd love to have one. Thought about painting what I have black, but decided against it. I may swap it all out at some point, if and when I have the $$$$$ to do it. I'd prefer to get the interior done first though and that's not going to be cheap. I need a little more stainless hardware in a few spots under the hood IMO. Just the visible spots.

That does seem to be the Lat-G salute doesn't it.

Kinda wild how much it improves the looks of everything. Getting it installed without scratching everything up was my biggest concern. Thankfully Jeff was there to provided an extra set of hands and insure it all went smoothly.

I didn't realize just how far into the deep end of the pool I went with this build. Jim (the painter) helped push it there. While I absolutely love how things are turning out, it would have been smart to build one to a lesser level before taking this on. Jeff constantly has customer cars in and out of his shop which helps further my education. It's mainly the little things that result in a smart, clean build and a lot of tips and trick on how to. He always has an answer and isn't afraid to stop me before I do something that would result in a negative outcome.

Having friends who are willing and able to share/assist in helping me achieve my goal has been the best part about the build. I like to say that building a car takes you on a journey long before it takes you for a ride.

Thanks Lenie! Hopefully I'll have more to post sooner than later. The last two weeks at work have been just stupid and kept me from getting anything done on the car. It's funny I'd love a vacation like the GG dream cruise, but I need to finish the car first. Ugh.

I got the cover at camarocentral.com. It's decent.

Nice to know people think about me.... well the car anyways. :stirthepot:

Harness from CROW Enterprises arrived today. Went with the "Dog Bone" option to insure the straps didn't rub against me neck. The width between the uprights on the headrest was 9" inside to inside and each strap is 3". Looks like it was the right way to go. Won't know for sure till they're in the car and I'm wearing them.

Few boxes of random parts arrived yesterday and an order from The Shop LLC the day before that.

Once I'm able to get at the car, I plan to spend every min I can working on it. It's getting close... I think.

Thanks. Wish I could have gotten the quick release in red though. Oh well. Yeah The Shop kill it when it comes to interior parts. Not sure their package tray will work with the roll bar sadly. I plan to run a stock for as a temp... when that time comes.

Custom interior is stupid expensive. Wanting to get the car on the road at some point and have some fun, so right now I am planning on a fairly stock interior until I win the lotto.

waynieZ 10-19-2019 06:42 PM

I don't blame you, I miss riding in mine, Wait is it mine I remember being in Must be it wasn't THAT long ago:lolhit:

I like to say “Old cars take you on a journey, long before they take you for a ride”. It’s been a learning lesson along the way and I’m glad I’ve travelled this road. I’m ready to turn the key, that’s for sure. It will be interesting to once again drive a car that is missing so many of the things we take for granted in modern cars. Traction control, ABS, Airbags, blindspot warnings, backup camera, etc. it’ll take a min to get back to those basics. It’s something I am actually looking forward to. Speed bumps will once again be a concern! Should be fun.
