I'm going to be watching this one! Hope to see it around SoCal when it is roadworthy. There really aren't enough pro touring Fords around here.

Thanks 427 side oiler that Old school hp that won LeMans in 66 & 67 and Daytona in 67. Plus a whole bunch of NASCAR NHRA and other races in many different forms. I chose the tunnelport since they used them in the Torino in NASCAR

Some day.... some day.... getting closer. Yea I love the Bronco but its my wife's. Building it delayed working on the Torino but oh well what my baby wants she gets. I may paint it one day but if I make it too nice she won't use it.

You will. I'm building it to beat on it. It will be able to cruise on pump gas so it will see some street miles also. I plan on RTTC and open track days and eventually a silver state classic run. The internals on the motor are all quality stuff. From T&D rockers down to the Crower billet steel crank and rods no skimping on parts. The peak hp target is at 6200 so she should live long and be streetable.

Mano y mano, BBC vs BBF. :D

Yes son they call that a Dominator.... It's a carb.... all cars used to have them. No there isn't any electronic engine management system... Yes it's crude but it hauls ass....

Hopefully one day you can embarrass me at the track.

I'm tired of beating up on all them LS engines anyway.

How much does that block way? Sounds like you are running a 4.310 bore? I'll be interested to see what you come with for compression and cam specs. Make sure you put a road race pan on that baby and an oil cooler. You are going to make some HEAT road racing that big block.:D When is the engine scheduled for completion?

The motor is done except for the oil pan and intake. I am waiting on the RS to confirm some chassis measurements before I pull the trigger on an Aviad dry sump pan. The block is under 115lbs.

Basic engine specs.

Cast iron TP heads by Blair Patrick the intake flows @ 173 @ .200 and hits 343 by .700. Not super huge but the avg number is pretty dam good. the exhaust is the weak point but some step headers will help it out there.

Plug adapter to run the late model style 14mm plugs and put the electrode closer to the center of the combustion chamber.

T&D rocker set up and custom Smith pushrods.

Robert Pond Al block, sidoiler copy with billet interference main caps and improved head studs and cross bolts.

Crower steel crank and 6.70 Crower rods with BBC journals.

Custom CP pistons zero deck height.

Custom ground solid roller. I don't have the specs in front of me but around 260/272 @ .050 with just over .600 lift. Crower lifters.

Aviad 4 stage dry sump oil system. I will probably run a cooler on teh return from the tank.

I have two intakes to choose from. I will dyno it with both. A single plane tunnelport dominator flange intake from the NASCAR program with a 1050 2 stage Holley Dominator or a single plane tunnelport 2x4 intake with a set of 660 Holley centersquirters.

Fired of by an MSD distributor and digital 6 box.

Blair builds FE (428/427 based) SS and Stockers for class drags which he has been a record holder in. He had a 511 with 13 to 1 and high riser heads with dual fours pull 854hp and 753 tq last month on the dyno. My heads have better avg intake flow but give up some on the ex than that mill. 700hp for mine isn't a stretch.

^^ Now this is the type of motor I enjoy reading about.

Hurry up and finish it.
