Those are the Chevelle mirrors not second gen camaro. They are the same that Mark used on the Mule, and what I prefer. They may take a little grinding of the base to get them to fit right to the door...but you have the correct mirrors if you like what's on the Mule. Yes they mount pretty close to the glass but it shouldn't be a problem.
I did notice at SEMA that many are using Camaro mirrors now too.I think they are a little too short for my tast though. |

Here's how much I had to grind to get the mirrors to fit level on a '68 door...my understanding is that they take a little less grinding to fit the profile of the '69 door which also allows the stock gasket to fit better on the '69 as well.

I have a set of 2nd Gen F-body mirrors that are going on the car. I'll leave the fitting to Kurt since the body is at Autokraft.
