Thanks Frank. You are correct - if I trim the lip, then outer wheel well will rub (has a bulge) I can modify that if needed.

How about recommendations on suspension travel?

Should be pretty stiff - is a compression distance of 2" enough? If not, I'll have to modify the outer wheel well - I can get up to 4" with little modification (I should probably just do it).

I weighed the original steel wheels vs.the Forgelines. You are right that the wheels are light! The shipping boxes with 1 front and 1 rear wheel weighed 30lbs.

The original 14" wheels with 205 tires was a portly 49 lbs.

The front forgelines with 245's weigh only 2-1/2 lbs more (51 lbs) Most of the additional weight is the tire.

The 335's & wheel was 63 lbs. Too bad they don't make lighter tires :) Couldn't imagine what a 18"x12" steel wheel & a 335 tire would weigh...

Here is a better picture - outside, that shows how the satin black outers give the tire a thicker look...

I'm about ready to order Forgelines from Frank as well. By the way, what are the offsets/backspacing on the front and rear wheels?

Since I am ordering my Moser rearend from Frank too I am trying to decide what size outside rim lip to buy. I like the distance on your wheels. Knowing these dimensions would give me a starting point.

Well Frank will set you up. I just spoke with him today to spec out my Moser 60.

I had Frank give me the max BS (deepest dish) he could on the rears. The backs were 18x12 wheels with 5.2BS. You can go deeper if you go with a larger diameter wheel. I am running the ZX3P's - the premium line I believe has a bit thicker hub - if you go with the race wheel (e.g. ZX3R) I think you can go just a little deeper too. I didn't like the race wheel center caps.

Fronts are 18x8 with 5.2BS (spec'd this way for clearance on my front end - could have gone wider and deeper but I wanted a particular look).

Thanks for the information. I am converting my car over from the "Pro Street" look to the "Pro Touring" look so I am trying to elimante the "deep" dish look on back that I already had. I had 15"x14" wheels on the car with a 5-1/2" backspacing (with a 46" housing end-to-housing end Ford 9" in the car). That gave me an outside/dish depth of roughly 8-1/2". In my opinion, that was too wide to give the car the proper look...

Your roughly 2.5" outside lip on your front wheels looks about what I am shooting for on the front of the car. I can adjust the front track with the control arm length on the front of my car to get to that lip. I am using 18" factory ZR-1 wheels on my car for my race tires and that is about what the corvette lip is on their 18"x10-1/2" wheels. To compliment this offset I planned on about 1-2" more outside lip on the rear wheels to flow with the fronts.

I was planning on a 100% matte black wheel on my car but after seeing the matte black lips with the gun metal centers on your wheels has got me thinking...

By the way, I am going with the ZX3R racing wheels on my car so the wheels do look just a slight bit different.
