Worked our butts off all week to get the car ready so we could have the windshield installed today. Still a lot to do but it went real well this week.

I added a link in the first post that goes to a web site I made for her car a long time ago. I try to keep it updated. http://adfabdesign.com/Site/67Mustang-677.html

The fastback saw its very first car show last night. Its just a local car show with about 100 cars but the event itself was very exciting. While we were there Heathers mom showed up in her 73 mustang that we finished building for her this year. It was the first car show her mom ever put a car into in her entire life. The event was such a great experience. My mom even showed up after a few minutes. Both Heather and her mom had a great time showing of their cars and Heathers 67 Mustang got a LOT of positive attention. It truly was a rewarding experience after all the hard work Heather and I have put into both Mustangs. I couldnt stop smiling seeing the cars side by side like that. Some time I would love to have my 69 Camaro down there with both Mustangs.

Finally 2 1/2 months later the seats arrive. The worst customer service I have delt with in my entire life. The packaging was also horrible. The boxes were crushed and several of the edges were ripped open. This usually isnt a problem but it was so poorly packaged they just set the bolts in the cardboard box and some of the bolts and necessary hardward fell out of the holes. Then if that wasnt enough, they said they would send a set of 5 point racing seatbelts for free because of the wait. Well those also were not delivered. Do not ever buy from shophyperformance.com
The seats look pretty good and feel comfortable. I will install them next year.

T/Y. When it comes to vehicle progress we are dormant in the winter. It should start warming up within the next month and we will be back at it.
The first major change this year will be a carbed 302 V8 swap in place of the weak 200 straight 6. Also want to do a front disk swap for sure before even thinking of taking this out to the local road track events. I would also like to start throwing some paint on it here and there.
This is my favorite current pic.

thats a great pic.... i actually owned a 67 fastback when i was in highschool but my parents found out i was drag racing and made me sell it :(

i just recently acquired a 67 coupe and was searching the web on fast back conversion and i saw this site come up... it has def given me some ideas on how to get this done.. i just need to find a donor car to take the roof...

The conversion is actually very easy. I did the A pillars the hard way and it was a huge learning lesson. If I had to do this conversion again I could easily do the entire conversion within a day. Its just hard to find a decent doner fastback to take the parts from. I do it all in a regular garage with only a 110 welder. So anyone that has a full shop could do this with no problem at all.
I can easily see myself doing this on another coupe. The entire experience was very fun and I would love to do it again. :D

coupe to fastback

Ive been wondering why Dynacorn or Goodmark sell a kit to do this because there are ALOT of coupes still rolling around out there - ballsy job to jump into - keep up the good work!
