If all that trick stuff was in a different body, that thing is a box...

I don't know if anyone already asked this...but if not, why is the owner is selling so quickly?

My guess is Mr warn likes the journey or the build not the actual end product. 10 bucks says he builds another really soon. The guys who go to Divers I'm sure are guys who just love to geek out on the build. They don't really care about much else beyond the problem solving and story of the build.
Just my sluggish economy based 2 cents.... |
I always figured they 'stike while the iron is hot'.

I think it's looks like an old Volvo.
I agree with most of the posts here... The buyer probably likes the technical side of the build more than the overall looks of the car itself. I think it's cool and all but if I had a choice I would take a regular Ferrari off the show room floor. Maybe the only taste I have is in my mouth. |
Not something that I'd own, but it's fun to look at.

The execution on this car is remarkable and the subtlness of it just makes the whole look ecs in the interior really simple and well thought out nothing like hauling a big engine behind you better than a gun rack behind you i guess. lol

My experience with those type of builds have always been about the chase, then the victory.I'm glad there are people that build cars of this caliber,They let the builders express there talent and come up with the ideas that can maybe spread to other people's builds. The Riddler cars are a whole diffrent breed.I looked at the 56 wagon that Neil Lee built that was just a great eight finalist and was blown away with the detail and fit of that car. They are fun to look at.

I saw this car in person and the old cliche that pictures don't do it justice is true. The details are over the top. When the key is turned, the windows around the engine roll down so it can "breath." They used the Ferrari back glass behind the cockpit, the one off luggage, etc. The egg crate grill designed to look like the 50's Ferrari's. The color was so deep it looked like it was red plastic.
I agree with Tracy, I love the fact that there are people out there willing to spend that kind of loot to go against the grain and build these things. There was a lot of talk at the Autorama that is was not 'traditional' enough... If that was 1.2 to build, wasn't the rumor on B Johnsons 'cuda 1.5? What would you buy if you had to choose between the two? Darren |
