The whole "stolen paperwork" thing sounds real hokey. I wonder if there really ever is/was "paperwork" to document the car....

How would a would-be theif even know where to find papers for the car and know what he was stealing? Seems highly unlikely to me.

Also, you would think that an owner of such a car would have:

A: Kept the documentation at home in a secure location, or, if necessary to have the originals at the auction, in a secure place away from the car

B: Have at least made some copies of all the documentation.

C: Have had Ed Cuneen research and document/certify the car at some point...

In short...Fishy.

It was pretty well talked about.I believe it was shown many times with the original paperwork.I read about it over at Yenko.net awhile back.I think he had the paperwork in a locked briefcase that was stolen if I remember correctly. :_paranoid

He does have copies of the paperwork. My understanding is the theif grabbed his wifes purse and whatever was contaning the paperwork. Probably trashed the paperwork when it didn't turn out to be money. Nothing Hokey going on. I think they brought it to give to the new owner if it sold. It and the purse were on the front seat of the tow rig while they were unloading the trailer. Just didn't think about locking their rig while they were 25' away from it.
