Second tank was at 4oz/10gal and saw no noticable difference. I have not tried a higher dosage. What I did kind of notice when I was reading all the link that people were putting up is that the smaller engines required less than the bigger ones or so they claimed.

Well we tried one tank in my brothers Dodge at 1/2gal. per tank and there was no difference in milage BUT during the test my brother ran the thing up to 100mph for a few miles so that didn't help the milage a bit. One thing that does seem to have changed is that it smokes less and it's quieter. I guess it cleaned up the injectors? I don't think one tank full is enough to really know but we are both a little nervous about adding any more. |
I tried this for myself too. I got ahold of some labratory grade Acetone by Fisher.
I used it in two vehicles that I've owned for years. I track my milage per tank at every fill up. My mpt is very consistant. After using about 3oz. per gallon in both vehicles. MPT did not change at all. So IMO, this is a myth, and it's busted. I've only done it for a few tank fulls now, so I'll keep doing it untill I'm out of this batch of Acetone. If something changes, I'll post |
