 Big Red did have a transponder for the second set of runs. I asked one of the guys in the timing booth right after Big Red came in.... he said the lap was 1.58.XX |

 It cuts off 12.. which is the fast end of the long straight.. what was that, 114mph? 1.2g for the lefts is pretty good... now to the the rights that good. I wonder if a real alignment would have helped some. |

 Too bad the transmission finally died in Velocity, I couldn't find my way through all the autocross gates, and the GG Nova had to survive to drive to Phoenix that night. Let's see...have I left out any excuse for being piss-slow? Nah...that ought to do it. Oh well...more inspiration for next year!  The upside of loosing 3rd and 4th gear in Velocity is that now I know it will run exactly 84mph in second gear on the rev limiter at 6500rpm. I'll bet she is glad I finally got tired of that action! |
