That being said, I know in stock configuration the lower portion of the frame rail is approx .500-.750" below the pinch weld of the rocker. Providing that all drivetrain related parts are above the bottom of the frame, dropping the cab beyond the frame rail now means that rocker is going to be the first thing to contact earth (man made or otherwise.....). |

I'm planning the suspension on my 67 as well so I know all about trying to succeed in that 4" measurement @ ride height (as measured @ the C/L of the F/R cab mounts). I've got some advantage over you in that my frame will be chopped up slightly. Mine is also currently going the direction of air ride so 1" will be the clearance @ the cab mounts when the smoke clears (or the air is purged). My set-up is C4 front suspension. For the rear, I'm sticking w/the truck arm set-up (no sense changing what's cheap & functional). I'm trying to incorporate a Watts link vs a Panhard bar but the simple packaging of the PHB might be the deciding factor. I look forward to your updates. |
Killer truck i love the way you lay it out.

This is gonna be a great build. I like the fact that it is a GMC too. I have always liked the grill/headlights on the GMC's
