Thanks..... sometimes I wish I would have kept the truck.
I think ralleys look good on these trucks and you're right, backspacing and tire size makes all the difference. They have big wheel openings and need to be filled with tire. Would be cool to see one done with a pro-touring style. Wouldn't even have to mini-tub, they already can clear 315's. |

This is my daily, but I might trade it in for a 82-87 chevy crew cab dually. I love this little truck but I think I need something biger to pull my project cars around. Its got a 305/350 which would make towing a bit of a task:drive:

http://onfinite.com/libraries/1508640/3f0.jpg I am planning on a slight drop and a new wheel/tire set along the lines of a nascar look. I'm open to suggestions. slimneverdies & 71RS/SS396, what wheel/tire setup are you guys running? |
Here's how it looks now... it changed quite a bit from that last pic.

Square Body's are bitchin. I want another one. My first truck was an 83 shortbed and I had Red Rocker a few years back. if I did another one i would do it just like my high school truck with a static drop, single tone, bumpers etc. I want one with a stock look but on the ground with 20's and big sway bars and a nice little 350. Something to drive on Saturday's and Sunday's, go to the parts swap in, head to the donut shop in etc. Love these trucks. Borrowing my buddies dark blue '85 right now while Op. Muscle Truck gets its computer tuned. It's dropped on 15" Americans and has really been rewinding the clock for me .
Too cool. Travis |

Love the square bodies. I remember hating them for so long when I was younger...and then one day I saw a slick red one dropped down on 15" Welds. It had a roll pan and a full shave. Man...since then I always thought about how cool it would be to have one as a "just for fun" truck. Something like a couple of you already said/have...Basically stock outside with some upgraded equipment. 20's, a low stance, mild but upgraded sounds and some decent power would do it for me. I'd even rock a comfy bench seat. Another classic style that will live forever in my opinion.
