Since learning this little pearl of information the leasing company, the 3rd Lat-G member and I have been chasing Frank and he does not want to be found. The matter is now in the hands of legal authorities who are traveling to TX. to see Frank. Before you say it; yes, the leasing company has some culpability here and to their credit they are accepting their share and are heading up the legal efforts.

There is no lien, you will learn of that tomorrow. Please explain to the forum how long it took for your company do even move on it. Jason had been trying to get you to do something since August? Now in FEB 2009, I am absent for a couple of weeks and it's suddenly my fault. I will be on here to respond in the afternoon. I have had enough.

I have now read many posts from members I have not met but have posted and interacted with but yet judge me quickly based on incorrect assumptions.

That's not right guys.

As I always say in every story there is one side's truth, the other side's truth and the real truth.

The real truth is never established in forums like these.

Sounds like a problem needs to be sorted and you guys are now in contact again which is great. I hope it all works out as expected for all concerned.

Understandable, but I think both sides need to calm down.

When money and property are involved it's very easy to "assume the worst".. I feel Chris really tried to start this thread out in a "non-attack" way, just asking for help contacting you.

And if his escrow company told him there was a lien then I can understand him freaking out a bit.

So, chalk it up to a mis-communication business screw up. It happens and I'm glad you got a chance to respond.

I will go back and prune out some of the "bandwagon" responses, but it's in your intrest that the thread be left open so that people who read it previously can see your response and will know the proverbial "rest of the story".

However, I encourage BOTH parties (three?) to take a very business-like and professional tone with this. Just put the confusion in the past and rectify the situation so that everyone is happy and can move forward.

Group Hug?

Oh, and please... no nonsense posts. Just the parties involved with relevant info.

I have sold a car and other items to Frank (4musclemachines) in the past. Great transaction, no problems. It appears that all the trouble started with a mistake made by the title company. I don't blame Chris for this, as you would expect a professional company that does this for a living to get it right; I would have probably believed them too. Couple that with not being able to get in touch with Frank for a while as he was out of town, and you end up where we are.

It appears that this will be sorted out, which is a good thing. Probably a good lesson in here for all of us.

Welcome back Frank

Frank,

This issue has never been about me and you. This issue has always been about you and the title to the Z06. I am only able to operate on the information I have. And, the ONLY source of information I have had for nearly a month was the leasing company. YOU DID NOT RESPOND TO ANY ATTEMPTS TO CONTACT YOU AND WHILE YOU WERE IN MEXICO YOU WERE STILL ACTIVE ON PRO-TOURING.COM SO YOU WERE STILL ABLE TO COMMUNICATE. GET IT RIGHT FRANK AND LET'S MOVE ON.

I did not answer my phone last night - the first time you called me in over a month - because you called me after midnight. Come on Frank, what did you expect besides my voice mail.

OK, moving forward from here the ONLY thing that matters is that you produce a clean title, in your name since YOU traded the car, to the leasing company. I do not want the title, it goes to the leasing company. As soon as the leasing company receives the clean title they will be able to stop their legal proceedings and wrap up this deal. You have the contact info for the leasing company as Steve from the leasing company has called you more than once. Call Steve Frank, send him a clean title and we can all move on. And please Frank, contact the leasing company and send them them the clean title asap.

Chris

Suggestion for the Mods related to this thread

Lat-G Moderators,

Frank has requested you delete this thread. While I recognize the decision is yours I would request that you keep this thread active and open for two reasons:

1) Frank has not yet produced the title. He seems intent on doing that but it has been 5 months. Once the title is produced, then I would have little to no care factor about this thread.

2) Perhaps it is just coincidental but Frank did not surface until yesterday when I posted the full story. Seems to be a connection there to me.

I will do my best to not introduce any flaming comments and just keep this thread fair. Ultimately this is your call but to the extent this thread can aide in helping Frank get this title to the leasing company two other Lat-G members (me and the other guy) will be very appreciative.

Thanks,
Chris

Chris, you are still avoiding the obvious. It was in August that the transaction was finalized. You only started contacting me a month ago, Jason had trouble contacting you. Initially, the transaction did not involve Jason (SWchopper) at all. It was only until our deal was done that Jason wanted to purchase the Chevelle at approx. $72k.

At that point you told me to deal with Jason directly and the trade money was all mine. What did I do at that point? I offered you to just pay me fair market value for my Z. I took approximately only $62-64k for my car (plus $3500 in extra accessories given to you) and you took the rest. I did not have to do this, you even stated that, but I did. Why? Because I am not a scammer and I wanted all parties involved to get a fair deal. I even made donations in your name so that you could become a "supporting member", all on my dime and without anybody telling me anything or asking for any "thank you".

The point is Chris, I understand your frustration, but let's get real. You had months to follow up on this with your title company, I have only had no more than 5-6 weeks. My son has been on PT.com and not me. He uses my username, as I have previously said.

I am meeting with my attorney this evening. Not for the purpose of "hiding" but for the purpose of him expediting this situation. In the meantime, all lines of communication are still open for you Chris. I gave have given you every one of my contact numbers. My attorney will simply be reviewing all the material and expediting information and title exchange. I will call you with his info later today. I sent a PM to you since I need to forward Dalcos contact info and person to contact, to my attorney to get the ball rolling.
