I have a few questions Scott. It appears that you're using a Fox body mustang rack. Did you perform any modifications to it?
The rest appears to be C6?
Were there any specific requirements you were trying to hit when designing the geometry?

I'm in the process of planning my front sub utilizing C5 components. What is your flange to flange width with that rack?
Are you happy with the way your steering arms turned out? I've been trying to think of a cost effective method to create some arms for my sub, but thought the accuracy required for them would be higher than what's achievable with bent steel. If you're happy with your approach I might have to look into doing something similar.

C-5/C-6 frt sub frame
 

The rack I used is a 80-93 fox style AGR 15:1 rack from jegs $249.95 .Flange to flange is 60.0inches. My steering arms are 1.0X1.25 cold roll steel bar stock W/ .875 o.d X .188 wall 4130 tubing bungs Tig welded togather.When Mark built the Mule He used round tubing to make his steering arms so I think my design will work.My Goal was to build this next car on a super tight budget. So when the local Chevy dealer donated the C-6 corvette parts, I built my on frt. end so I could save the $7000.00 grand needed to get the unit from another supplier.I am working on the shell repair sheet metal now. In a few weeks I will post photos of the progress.Thanks Scott.

this is a pretty bold statement

the subframe looks nice but looks like art morrison parts to me. steering arms and brackets etc. Hope you used a longer coil over than that short little thing they used as well.

I liked the way AME built there sub frame. It works really good. I know Because I own one. I looked at everybodys stuff. And wanted to build my own using my AME subframe as a giude line. My shocks will use a 2 inch longer stroke frt shock.W/ ajustable upper mounts giving me ride HT. ajustment W/O using shock stroke. I am builing my own 4 link rear suspenion for the car also.I have a feeling that will get some folks bagging on me.If I wanted a car built with a credit card I would call DSE. Because there stuff is clearly the best products out there for sale. But am having a ton of fun building every thing my self for this car.

The frame looks great! I've had Mark at Overkill do some work on my '69, and he's told me a little about ya - would love to see your '69 in person sometime...

I am in the shop all day mon.thur sat. Stop by any time.You can look any thing I am doing. Most of the time its just reg. welding repairs.Its nice to share ideas W/ other hot rodders.As soon as I get the new rear frame rails made & installed and the rest of the sheet metal work done then I will post some photos.Scott.

I feel the exact same way. I'm building it for myself so I don't care much of what others think. As long as it performs, I'll be happy. It'll also be nice to tell people I built it. My frame of thought is that you can read all the books you want on suspension design and theory, but you'll never really learn until you get your hands dirty. Worst case scenario I make a few modifications and try it again.

Thanks for the info on the rack. After thinking about it a little more last night, I figure I might as well give the steering arms a shot as well. It wouldn't be too difficult to build a jig to insure both arms are bent correctly and are the same length.
