I will admit that the new Camaro is not going to be mistaken for a '69, but lets face it nobody is REALLY going to mistake the new Mustangs or Challengers for their classic counterparts. Granted the 5Gen is a further departure from what it was inspired by, but it was meant to be. IMO the new Camaro's styling is better than the two other current Pony cars. Now the trunk opening is pretty small and the rear leg room is almost nonexsistant, but it is a sports car and compare it to the others of it's kind they aren't much (if any) better. If I want trunk space and rear leg room I am going to go buy a G8. Same chassis. Anyway, I like it.

Regardless it is a Camaro and it just wants to be your friend:

The minute they released the Challenger someone should of sent the design team back to the drawing board ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How can anyone look at these pictures and say these cars even closely resemble a 67,68 or a 69 Camaro. Am I mistaken is this not what GM was going for? Man something got lost in translation here... Sorry guys this is just my opinion and you know what they say about opinions:yes:

Sorry I have to agree with Mario here, while the new Camaro is nice, driving down the road it's not going to stand out like the Mustang or Challenger do. You see those and automatically know they were born from the 60-70's era, while the new Camaro is 21st century.

I'd say they met their goal regardless if you care for it or not.

And if you think the new challenger is a closer representation than the original than the new camaro is to a 69, I suggest you take another look.

is that an SUV or a "muscle car"?

These modern interpretations of muscle cars are just that, interpretations. Lots of people may not like it in these photos, but I promise you, within a month of people getting their hands on them, you're going to love the new camaro and change your tune...

Wheels, a drop, some minor changes, they're going to be BADASS.

:_paranoid OK

thanks for posting the pictures. the 69 looks great

But you can still tell the challenger reminds you of a challenger, same with mustang. But the new camaro just doesn't look really like a camaro except for the nose, kinda.

It's a cool car but the interior is HORRIBLE.

Thanks for posting pic. The side by side's are cool. Plus you got a nice car too!

I agree it does not resemble the 67, 68 and 69 and much as the other "retro" cars (Mustang and Challenger), but a lot of the general public won't have a "photographic" memory of what the originals look like. Most of the people who buy it will just want a Camaro and have no desire to resto-mod an original.

I like the new Challenger, but I think it stands too "tall" in it's stock form. I think the new Camaro once its lowered will look bad a$$! The car already has the right body lines IMO.

Oh hell, I am just happy GM brought back the Camaro after all these years lol! (now if they can keep the company from going bankrupt ...)

If I was to see one of these coming down the road I would know it a lot quicker than a new Camaro. This is what GM should come out with IMO.

Thanks for posting the pics. I am sorry there is such a negative vibe here. I really like the new car. I think it will be a hit. Especially when you start personalizing the car with aftermarket parts.

I am already brainstorming with what I could do with one of these salvaged camaros. Brembo brakes, LS motor/ trans, seats!
