I am sure they are very busy with the multitude of questions... Let me tell you what happened with a drop spindle install on a stock sub frame, stock a arm 69 camaro. My buddy has orange 69 rs/ss Camaro. He decided to put the tall 2 inch drop spindles on his car. He was paying me to put on the disk brakes on the car so he asked if I would put on the spindles why I was at it. I have to say they are really well made parts very thick and heavy and the machining is very good. My buddy paid to have them powder coated and gave them to me. I installed them no problem everything fit great. We put the car on the ground and had to adjust the QA1 coil over kit all the way up to get it to sit rite. Everything was cool until he went to get it aligned. The shop could not get enough camber in the car. Then they could only get .5 degree of caster on the passenger side because there were at least one inch of shims in the cross shafts. They ran out of adjustment on the passenger side because he is running Hooker Super Comp inch and 5/8 headers and they go rite where the a frame bolts towards the back of the car. I called Heights and the guy the phone said that he should have purchased there upper control arms because they make up the shortfall in the lack of caster. Long story short he was so pissed we went back to the stock stuff and sent the spindles back.

Okay so here is the catch 22 in the story.

Anothe member on either Lat-G or Pro-Touring was building a first gen camaro. From memory he bought some stuff from DSE but he tried to combine it with another manufactures stuff. The problem was the car sat to high. In the end he didn't research everything fully. So my question is it the manufactures fault or the owners fault for not doing his homework.

Trust me I've bough plenty of stuff for my truck that didn't work with the other stuff.

re: Air Rides Upper & Lower Control arms with a Hotchkis sway bar. In the end it all worked out the Air Rides Front suspension is on my truck and the sway bar is in Sweeden on a freinds truck and yet there's more. Once I talked with the Guy's at Air Ride they explained to me the sway bar from Bell Tech is the one that I needed.

This taught me a valuable lesson early on in my project. Make sure you do all of your homework and it will save you ton's of time and money in the end.

So not the Vendors fault in my Opinion. :thumbsup:

If you noticed in my post I was not assigning blame to anyone and I do not say that the parts were bad at all. In fact I said quite the opposite. The reason for the post is to let people know that are running stock suspension and only choose to run the drop spindles that they might run into an issue with the alignment with there car. There is not mix matching suspension parts in this buildup stock arms stock sway bar the coilovers were the conical spring type and after adjustment the car was not really that low. I think the reason my buddy was pissed was because he did not know that he needed to buy the upper arms to and after paying me to put the stuff in there was obviously going to be an additional cost in purchasing the arms and labor to put them in.
. I did not know that they had any improved or corrected suspension geometry built into there arms. Is there improved suspension geometry built into there arms?? (first generation camaro)
I still stand by what I said that there stuff is really well made and I will tell anyone who asks. I also agree it is very cool to come on here and open the forum for questions about there products. :thumbsup:

Glad you came around, If you posted your answers in this thread everyone would benefit and when people search they would be able to find see them.

absolutely....I will be working on that. For the guys looking for drop spindles for the stock subframe on a second gen camaro....we do not offer any as of yet. We designed our subframe to use our Pro-G spindles.
